So we all know that Homaphrodites are evil? But what is the leading cause of finding them in my garden?
Light Leaks?
High stress to a normal female plant?
Genetics?

Probably isnt lite leaks.. Can be any sort off hard stress.. You may have a male pollinating your girls. If its good name brand seeds be thankful.

Light leaks, heat stress, bad genetics.numerous things can cause this you can get a spray called revert to bring out the dominate sex

I tried the dutch spray called reverse, but it did nothing 4 me - the homaphrodites ended up pollenating themselves. i had 3 plants, n all 3 were homaphrodites.. i now have 1000s of seeds, but only 3 oz of 3 full grown plants :-(

Yeah, im guessing it was genetics and high acidic soil. i fed them full strength nutes every single day whilst growing in coco. Also the seeds were from a stick i got off a mate, n had bout 8 seeds in the 1 stick, so i probably shouldv known better, but this was b4 i joined this site n started learning the wealth of knowledge it has to offer..

Thanks for all the help so far :joint:

Question regarding hermies...

What would happen if you simply removed the shoots that were male on a hermie and left the females? I have a plant that is nice size and into its 2nd week of flowering with some nice female flowers on it, but I just noticed today, that on at least one shoot, she's starting to develop little balls. I hate to sacrifice the whole plant if I don't have to.

Any suggestions?bongsmilie

If u have noticed balls on ur lady, then its pretty much a lost cause. You can probably go alright removing entire shoots, but as 4 just plucking them off - dont bother. I spent a whole day (8Hours +) removing pods off 3 plants, n in the end it was a massive waste of time.. The pods not only grow on the shoots, but in the bud aswell, n as u fondle the plant removing the pods u spread the pollen.
But yeah, like i said, cant c y removing the shoot wouldnt work.. Just turn ur fans off, and do it very gently.
