wanted to buy hlg told to diy but how

Wanted some hlg 550s rspec
But everyone's like waste of money u can make better for less blah blah ..

So ok am redy I'm in a 5x9 I've set up 1 with my custom leds 2yr old
1 with my hps
Now I need to make the last and that's diy and I want around 1200watts as I wana match watt for watt to the hid

Everyone seems to tell me different chips here n diff ones there..

I'm a 5x9 I fill scrog in hydro and I have 2 meters height so bot alot of head room


Can someone point me where I need to be n what I need to get ish or a guide ?

I run HLG 650r’s and would recommend anyone to run them in a large space. Two of those would be perfect for your size as I run mine in a 4x8 and they’re a tad overkill for me. But better to not need it and have it than need it and not have it. As far as DIY set ups I feel like you gotta really know your shit to put together anything worth while and competitive. Maybe google search grow light builds and look at what others are doing.
