Are there grow lights that are worth buying for indoor growing at wal-mart or home depot? Ive Just been wondering about that for awhile now. Thanks for your answers!

Well, HID is the general term for heavy duty grow lights. It stands for High Intensity Discharge. The two most commonly used HID lamps for growing are High Pressure Sodium (HPS) and Metal Halide (MH). Metal Halide is better for vegetative growth, and High Pressure Sodium is better for flowering. However, if you can only afford one, High Pressure Sodium is better for going from seed to harvest.

Spoon...all my lights came from both stores and the only downfall was arranging the lights constantly. However throughout my grow had to deal with burnt tips & fan leaves. They do work wonders, just need to learn to arrange properly :o
But both places I bought the 6500k daylight x 10 for 4 plants during veg. 12 2700k warm cfls for flowering which I purchased from both places even a True Value
