Did you not read my post? I clearly said that instead of buying these crappy lights, save your money so that you can do it right. My light cost 200 dollars shipped to my house. If you can't save up 200 dollars to get the proper light than you should not be growing at all.
Growing weed is an expensive hobby and if you skimp out on the proper tools for the grow than you are not going to get the results you are looking for. That is a FACT!

Ok, people I think Guitarman is talking about this light. It is designed to veg grow plants indoors. It is NOT a t12, or CFL - just a bit smaller like the circumference of a t5. It's 24" long, and comes with a clear plastic cover that spreads light. It looks light purple when it's on.

For all of you trying to grow a fuckload of weed to feed your need to be a dealer, or stockpiler, or mass volume smoker, maybe he is satisfied flowering under these lights, doesn't mean it's time to hate on him for it. I use almost exclusively floros with one of these lights for filler. I get plenty of weed every harvest without spending tons of money on supplies and electricity. In fact, I have spent a TOTAL of $160 since summer of last year, and I have to sell some of my product, because I have way more than I need. Just sold some last night, and made ALL of my money back plus more.
And I still don't need HPS/MH. I'm not putting them down, I'm just saying not everyone needs high powered light.

To Guitarman7311, thanks for trying to help out the budget grower.

PS, the pic looks dark because I had to dark-filter my digital camera in order to get a good pic.

Unless you are smoking .1 grams a month there is no way that the light you pictured is producing enough weed for you to have enough left over to sell. Please show pics of the final product :lol:

Oh, hell no, I'd think he'd need like 6 of those per plant to just to get enough for himself. I'm just saying that if it works for him, people shouldn't put him down. Constructive criticism....sure, but some posters are downright mean.

I personally have way more light than that.
I just use that light as a central filler for my closet. Here's a link to my photo albums that I put up here on RIU. I put together some pics showing top cola progress using 8 four foot floro tubes. https://www.rollitup.org/members/cola-collector-160398-albums.html
I paid a total of $60 for the lights alone, and I get enough to be more than happy. I also do 3-4 month grows back to back, so I'm harvesting 3-4 times a year.

Sorry dude Ive already grown 6 plants witthem and they are fabulous for veg stage. Like I say dont knock em till ya try em. By the way these are made by Lights of America model 7020. I didnt want to but I guess Ill have to take some shitty phone pics and start a journal for u unbelievers. 4 of theses lights will veg 3 plants in a cabinet. Then I flower with a 400w hps and always get abot 3 or 4 foot plants with heavy buds. I believe 8 lights for 4 plants would be more than enough to grow to 16 to 20 inches before you start budding, And Im sorry if some of u thought I was using them to bud. Hey Im not a newbie.

I will take some pics of my just sprouted plants tommorrow so check back ill try and provide pics as I go. Most are bag seed but I just sprouted a LA WOMAN FEMINIZED AND A G13 WHITE WIDOW From the attitude seed bank. I usually delete pics after a few days so keep chekin back.

i bought 2 of those for my 1st grow lol. i wasnt trying to make it serious but when all 4 of my seeds sprouted i had to act.. first bought those lights.. then miracle grow.. then decided i should at least to half of the grow right.. and bought a 400w hps and GH nutes.

veg with those lights was slow, i veged for a month and they only got about 6 inches tall but they did have fairly short node spacing.

one thing i found troublesome with these lights was that you run out of light sockets lol..

cheap AND pointless??

actually quite durable and useful. very bright if you ever needed a shoplight! and will actually support the life of a plant without stretching it to death.

Ok Ill give ya the socket thing, just get a multi extension cord. I did forget to say, you gotta take off the protective plastic cover to get the best light. But remeber I got 4 so thats twice the light and in a months time my plants were 12 to 16 inches, thats good enough for an indoor grow. Im not sayin use these for a large harvest, just a closet grow. But the light spectrum they use I will definitely look for bigger lights with the same color spectrum. And also I have never had a plant die under theses lights. Plant is always green and bushy no dying leaves. I grow in Miracle grow , not organic that sucks, either moisture control MG or the other potting soil they sell, K mart sells it.
