Wait time for Nevada Medical Marijuana Application Packet.

I sent in my "request for application packet" and check four weeks ago. Today I called the number on the website, and the message states that "due to increased work load, applications will be processed within 6-8 weeks. If you are calling about the status of your application packet, please allow 2-3 weeks."

My check was cashed immediately, so I'm wondering...how hard is it to drop a pre-copied packet in the mail? This process stresses me out and makes my head hurt.

I feel ya Loop - I'm going through my renewal process right now. I needed to call them to ask a couple of important questions so I did and left a message - that was on Monday of last week. They say that they only call back on Wednesday's and Friday's but that's not true. I waited around all day Wednesday cause I didn't want to miss the call but it never came. They called me back on Thursday and of course I was not home at the time. I called back right away and got that same stupid message. I left another message. I was hoping to maybe hear back from them on the following Friday but no call came. Ok fine I missed my chance. They make it very clear to only leave one message so calling again was out in my mind. Here it is Wednesday again and I still haven't heard from them. I felt I waited a fair amount of time - I mean I know they are busy but still - so I tried to call again earlier and when I tried to leave a message the recording said the mailbox was full and I couldn't! Argh!:wall:

My old lady got her packed sent within the 7-10 day period a few weeks ago. You have to remember, though that these are government workers and the holidays are here.

More like budget cuts and furloughs than the holidays but whatever. I'm sure the government appreciate your support, Hardbuck! They don't seem to have many defenders these days.

Hempy holidays y'all! :leaf:

Hoping it arrives this week before Christmas... today marks 5 weeks since they cashed my check.
#fingerscrossed

Merry Cannabis!

Just passing through. Saw this on the Dr Reefer website and thought I would pass it along ...

Effective January 1, 2011 the Nevada Health Division Medical Marijuana Program will only accept application requests and applications directly from potential/current patients and caregivers to ensure traceability and confidentiality throughout the approval process. All Medical Marijuana correspondence and approval documentation will be mailed only to the address listed on the patient/caregiver request or application. Please make appropriate changes to your websites and program processes. Any requests or applications received from consultants after December 31, 2010 will be mailed back unprocessed. (full post here)

interesting info. As of today, still no appication packet received. I left a message monday and did not hear back on wednesday. I think Hardbuck was right about the government worker/holiday factor. SHEESH!

Finally received my packet....let the process....continue!
New challenge. i have my packet entirely complete except the Dr. Referral. I had called two offices in vegas prior to ordering the packet, and now that I have it, both numbers are disconnected. In fact, tried several more via internet search and those are disconnected as well. Anyone have a doctor they could refer me to? Feel free to private message me or post the info here....
Loop

Thanks for the info on a referral, but I worked it out already. All paperwork submitted and currently awaiting approval from the state.

Since you get the card at the dmv..does it have anything to do with your drivers license (alter it's appearance such as a leaf)? Or do they issue a completely separate card?
