Vortex or Apollo 13

How do they compare and why should one be picked over the other.

My fav has been apollo, it has a great sativa high with no ceiling and it has a low tolerance build up. Vortex was great and heavy but did not have the other quality like apollo for me.

My vortex pheno is just like the description, It will make your heart race and you will forget shit, it is to strong for some people. I tell people, you will feel like you want to go do something, you just won't remember what it was. I got that keeper out of a pack of 5, the other phenos were just O.K

Grow them both and you will know for sure which is better for you.

Im just trying to find out what other people have discovered before me. How do they compare yield wise? I read vortex can give generous yields. I suppose Apollo would be the most soaring sativa high in comparison though? Which one is the best smelling?
Im tempted towards apollo cause thats usually what miss jill is smoking on the weed nerd shows ive watched, though read good stuff on vortex's characteristics too...

Vortex is an Apollo 13 x space queen so get the vortex and see what you get. You might kill two birds with one bird

I was in the same boat as you. Was ordering my first order of tga seeds and i wanted a lil stash of a variation of aubs genetics. In the end i went with apollo 13 BX because it just vortex crossed back to a-13 if i am not mistaken so it seemed lkke its gonna be vortex but twice as nice. Havent had a chance to grow it out yet cus i have been in love with the space bomb i popped and been cloning that to no end. They will get a shot in a couple mknths though once i phase out the space bomb

Whats so special about the space bomb for you?

The thick coat of resin all over everything lol. For real thoug its just resin on resin and the smell is unreal. Popped a 5 pack and got 2 females. One smells like lemons and gets pretty leggy and the other stays squat and gets a relly funky skunk smell, not like cheese or diesel just skunk. They dont yield huge but im not a commercial grower so that dont matter. For an example i just harvested six plants and at 9.5 weeks they had the same size colas of some blue og that has been flowering for 4 weeks in a different tent.

I got a tall skinny plant from my 10pk vortex. I would like to say it was the A13 pheno... I turned it into BHO and loved it. Later, I found out Apollo13 is popular for hash and I can see why. It did not make me sleepy and it was powerful. I am interested in A13 x vortex for my next order.

Vortex was some of the best weed I have ever grown. Covered with resin and loved the upper high!

The vortex if want that racey, paranoid, sweating kinda high (that's the suggested pheno if I'm not mistaken...) however as said; you can possibly get a good a13 pheno... Possibly... I'd say if you ran a 10 pack your definitely find something nice and a most likey a choice of a few phenos...

Or my favorite... The void.. aka purple Apollo 13.. I bought a 10 pack 2 years ago and originally cracked 4... Got 3 fems, 2 Apollo Dom and one querkle-ish pheno, the other looked querkle-ish but it Hermed on me because a surge protector with a nice bright LED under it... But I ran those 3 to death for a while and then had to close down for awhile chopping all my cuts of strains and having to start anew once I was able to get going again...

I recently cracked 2 more from that same 10 pack and got 2 females, 1 is kinda Apollo Dom, very purple yet I can still smell grape somewhere in it a little more than that Apollo funk...

Then the other one I have going (this is the 2nd from seed plant this time around) that looks like the Apollo momma to the T but I haven't gotten to taste that monster yet and it's pushing 60 days and still has a little while to go so I'm gonna say this one is gonna be more sativa dominant very a13 dominat plant, almost a mirror image of momma (a13).. she's in a 18 gallon Rubbermaid for a comtainer with 6-8 main heads that make the plant look like 6 (biggish) individual plants... And that bitch is big to say the least, the biggest plant I've ever flowered... If her yields are like the other one I just ran; I'm gonna be a happy pothead... I just chopped 2 clones from the other pheno I mentioned above were ran in 5 gallon square hard pots; they yielded just over 8 zips total...

The smells range from grapey, funky, peppery, cheesy, stank-ness and is a high like I've never experienced before... An up and extremely creative high if taken when trichs are going from clear to cloudy, and if you let them turn a little amber you'll get a more relaxing high but you loose flavor but gain yield and all that...

I am a big fan of tga and vortex is their goto/recommendation strain... Which I have yet to try but I didn't like the description of the high, I am not all that fond of that paranoid, sweating type of high... The high I get from the void is very up, very creative and energetic as long as you don't let it go too long before harvesting, without any of the paranoia...

If you still go with something else, keep the void on your list, definitely one of the less popular yet fucking awesome strains tga has....

Some of the void, this is the more querkle-ish pheno, kinda sorta querkle-ish... There all mixtures obviously so its kinda hard to say its this or that, its like a querkle (being querkle stays pretty short) that has super dense nugs (querkle trait) yet look kinda apollo-ish with floppy stems like apollo, but smells like them both a little but not to much one way or the other. But good non-the-less. Another run in supersoil hopefully will help me decide if this pheno is gonna hang around. I am not sure @ what day these pics were taken, I'm thinking its a couple different sessions of pics but all within the last 2 weeks or week... One looks like I went to far almost I thought but I'm just about certain I got these when they were just peaking as far as the resin heads going from clear to coudy...

These were run in a small small amount of recycled supersoil, like 1 inch in the bottoms of the pots, it was the very last of the SS I had... So these were mostly grown using the revs "spikes and layers" type of growing with some recycled base I had laying around... truly desperate times at that point but I wanted to get these flowered so I did my best and it came out good... Other than that they got sugars @ days 30 and 45, soluble mycos @ day 21, other than that it was water only. I do however use a reverse osmosis maker that adds 30ppm of cal/mag back into the water, but thats it.

The one thing that sub says about this strain and I can definitely see how it would be possible to kick it to the side after only running from seed..I also noticed that this strain grows, gains potency, gains yield, pretty much gains everything once the seed plant is cloned and clones are grown out and harvested, it looks the same... kinda but its definitely a whole different animal once you clone and flower it.... In future runs of this strain from seed; I would consider cloning the from seed plant almost to death and tossing it once I had rooted cuttings if there was any kind of space issue (which I do run into) rather than flowering it...
