Voidling's Wicking Bed

So I'm using the same cab as before.



On the bottom is my grow cabs. On the left is for flower and is 28inx17in and 30 in tall. The right is for mothers/clones/veg and is 20"x17" and 30in tall.

The Container Store has an underbed box that is 27-1/8" x 16" x 6-1/4" h and has very little wasted space. I have stacked two of them. The bottom was filled with perlite to fill the gap. The second tub I put holes in, then spread perlite in a thin layer making sure to fill the holes. Then added in a coco coir + perlite mix in layers. In between each layer I added some gardening lime.



Then added in the plants, each cut above the fourth node for clones. The timer is on for 14 hours to veg them out a little.

Right on man! I forgot what the cab looked like. Thinking of starting new beans? Ya know, new set up, new beans? Or sticking with the plants you've had so you can judge differences?

Well since I have yet to flower the apollo out to completion, I don't know what they are like. My prior plants died on me unfortunately. Only way to do a comparison would be to crack more romulan seeds to try. I'm not really wanting to do that. I have several strains in seeds, but I'm lacking room to grow them out, clone them, and then sex them. I'll try recruiting my veg cab after my garden plants go out. If I can keep the temps down without running electricity bill too high.

Subbed up... did you ever get cuts of the apollo? I did something like this once before using rocks at the bottom instead of perlite.... and if you're interested i should have some timewreck cuts for you in about 4 weeks

These four are Apollo clones. I topped these four plus another one still in veg to put in the cloner. Should be ready by 4 weeks

The more I think about the subject of this thread, the more it sounds kinda raunchy

Either of you interested in buying a slightly used 600w digital hps?

If I had the money I might.

Hey hc, got a story for you.

Last year I gave some of my seeded Romulan bud to a friend who had their supply line interrupted for some reason. Wasn't much, just a little to tide them over. They said it was good but should of cut sooner so I'm guessing they like trippy stuff. Anyway I ran into this person at a social event and am handed a tin of bud grown from one of the romulan seeds.

I haven't been smoking in a while and yet the single hit didn't put me to sleep like it used to

I'll probably end up just keeping it and saving it for later use when I have a bigger grow going (or supplemental lighting if heat ends up not being an issue)... if i was headed your way i'd deliver it but you're a little out of the way for me and the slave drivers at work only give me so much time off a year... i know you gotta just come visit me, owl and void then you can just take it back with you you can get away from the cold... but can any of us leave our gardens that long?

there is a reason hc isn't growing romulan if i recall. Its an old strain though, just doesnt hold up. but that was an awesome gesture.

He doesn't grow it bc of lack of flavor and smell and not much bag appeal. It is fairly strong though if I remember what owl and bongwell said

i remember when romulan was one of those strains, but this was wayyyy back. Now it seems not too many people even tinker with it like they do c99, NL, skunks and such. i just think its too old and watered down genetically.

i wonder how it crosses, i had males but never used em.

I had ROM x blueberry seeds that were an accident. Unfortunately I either misplaced them or mixed them with ROM x ROM seeds. Doh

This particular Rom has had the "flavor" bred out of it, thats what the breeder of that particular line told me. I didn't ask why, he is a curious old fart! lol
This is by no means a complete expression of Rom, it has been worked.

Strange. What I have smells a bit fruity. Would sure like it to taste the same

Unless it's been bred to a 100% IBL, those recessive genetics are always in there waiting to come out!

I never did get all the coco wet. I don't want to drown them by adding more but don't want to dry them out too much either. Not sure how to tell what they need since I can't go by weight.
