Virgin Planter Needs Your Help

Wassgood folks? I'm a virgin grower and I want to begin growing at the end of this month and have everything ready to smoke by June/July (or before). I have a very cheap budget but I can work something out. I have a small closet space I want to use (Tall enough to stand in, wide enough for a 3-4 yr old to lay down straight in). I want to grow it hydroponically. Here's what I'll be using:

If you take a look at the DIY section, there are cheap alternatives (like $20 cheap) to expensive carbon filters bought from the store.

You can get a 400w HPS from e-conolight.com for just over $100, its the cheapest you can go but it doesn't have hanging hooks (youd have to make your own on it) and the ballast and reflector are all one peice but my first grow was with one of the 400 watts and it worked great.

Yeah that Complete Grow Kit looks like its probably worth it. Especially if I get those LED Lights with that - it could save me alot of money.

thanks for the help. are my goals reachable? and can you grow a "hybrid" of seeds together, like mixing Haze with Blueberry?

go to google and search insidesun they have 400 watt hps + mh lamps with ballast and both bulbs and a reflector for 125 $ shipped to you. its refurbished but it has a 3 year warentee so who cares it works the exact same its what i use. you can also get cheap hydro stuff their as well. basicly with the 100 $ you save on the light u can get almost everything else you need. Also order a PPM meter off of ebay from a pool supply place their only 12 $ as opposed to 70 + and you will want this if your going hydro

here are some pictures of my set up to show off the lights ( i also have a t5 flouresent in their but that was the first light i bought which cost to much also here is a breakdown of the prices i think you would have for your set up

1) 1 400 watt hps / mh lamp ( 125 $ )
2) 1 PPM meter off ebay (12 $ )
3) nutes ( depends what you get 30-100 )
4) 5-10 feminised seeds from nirvana shop 40 $
3) heres a breakdown if you build your own hydro set up ( recomended on a budget )

- 6-12 three inch net cups + hydroton 15-30 $
- 6 12 rock wool cubes ( 2 $)
- 2-4 10 gallon totes 4.50 $ each at wallmart ( you will only use 2 at a time but you need to change the water every 2 weeks and its easyer to mix what you need in an empty tub and transfer instead of trying to find a place to set down the top with your plants on top and the roots all
hanging down )

-2 fish pumps + tubbing and air stones 15 $ (7.50 each wall mart) their real cheap and u can probley find them cheaper

tottal at most 65 $ for the hydro set up that can grow 12 2 1/2 foot plants

- mylar 50$ optional since you are on a budget but i recomend it
- small fan ( you probley already have one )

- as far as the smell goes their are a million cheap alternatives to a 100+ $ carbon filter

Total

147 $ for everything but the light ( minus the mylar )
125 $ for the light


so you are saving 100 $ not buying the light you first found but still getting the exact light just not new. and with that in mind you are only spending 47 $ more on a set up keeping in mind 40 $ of that was for some awsome feminised seeds from nirvana shop so thats 7 $ your spending on your set up after the savings on the light

also if your budget alows for it their are some awsome grow tents on ebay for around 120 $ as opposed to 400 + in a store and minus the 50 on mylar you wouldn't need thats 70 $

Whar are the best seeds to buy off of that Nirvana site?

thats a tough one and i dont recomend posting that question because all your going to get is opinions and at this point the only one that matters is yours. It really depends what your looking for. if you want More yield, a headyer ston vrs a body buzz, higher potency , crazy colors ect ect. Nirvana shop actualy has somthing built into their web page to help you chose the right strain for you. I have ordered northern bright and ice seeds from them and so far the NB was delecious and the ice is still on its way but i like how it grows and responds to my nutes. Also dont in any way worry about ordering from them. worst and i mean worst case scenerio instead of seeds you get a letter in the mail that says customs has intercepted your package and has found illeagle items inside it, and if you wish to refute this / claime your packge they give you an adress to do so. Cleary you don't want to do that you just take the 40 $ hit and try again. dont let that scare you either they wont get intercepted esp if its a small order Nirvana is real good about their stealth shipping and they also have a cool tracker on their site so you can basicly see where your seeds are. you wont get aressted for ordering seeds and since seeds have no real definning characteristis easyly noticed inside of a package ( smell weight ect ect ) the chance of losing an order of 10-20 seeds is VERY VERY small. damn that was a long winded answer
