Well, I posted earlier about my first grow. Well they got to the 3nd layer so I decided to try and transplant, well, that did NOT go well.

As I dumped the square tray to transplant the plants, as I turned it to the side instead of them coming out, the stems just broke.

I was devasted, for I already became attached to them, as lame as that sounds, but oh well lol!

I examined closely, and for some reason the stems were so gentle I dont know what happend. I know it cant be from overwatering because I made it a point to make sure I watered every 3 days, if that to be safe, and checked the mositure. Ventalition, good, temperature, good, no nutes, I was planing on that after the 4 -6 week phase.

Thats just a followup, sorry for bantering. Now to my questions.

Im germing some new ones in the ol' paper towel setup, and I wanna start this right from the start, I got separate 1 gal thin, plastic pots this time and a light for each, Im going for 2 but want 3 just in case it's male.

The area closest to me that sells the foxfarm stuff is too far away, and I gotta save the money on my card for Xmass for the family, that comes first.

But I know at the local walmart there has to be some good soil I can use. What do you prefer?

Also, the last time the plants that did well, was the ones I waited in the germ. process til the rootlings, (lol), got like and inch instead of the 1/2 inch I have read about alot. Should I stick with that again, or can that cause early root rot? Maybe thats why my stalks were weak?

Again, trust me, ventalation was not a problem.

So, soil, germing, and one more thing.

Would it hurt my plants lets say, I put them in a spot in the sun through the day, then bring them inside at night to keep them from freezing, and keep them in the grow area with the lights I have?

Would it help or hurt?

Sorry for the long post, Im just new, yet find myself very indulged in this, this is much more enjoyable and challenging than I thought it would be.

Thanks alot, happy holidays, and God Bless!

Nothing wrong with that at all.
