Naw she generally digs right in w the sideways planting. I know exactly what you mean about the stress involved if the radicle has to loop up, then back down from an upside down seed germination.

I just pop em in a towel and place the taproot manually into dirt with the seed halfway covered and boom she goes. who germs in soil anymore? Am I the only one who does this method?

Ohhhhh I think any seed thats viable and fit to grow will find its way to the surface. Mother nature doesnt turn 'em any specific way.

In case anyone was wondering whatever became of the surviving twin that started this thread... here she is at 41 days old. Sorry for the shitty camera.

Thanks much! She started off really slow, but she definitely hit a major growth spurt. She is pretty freaking huge for an auto. I figure I'm looking at about 35 to 50 more days if I can keep her healthy and happy.

Possibly a couple ounces the way she is stacked looks promising I've seen autos put off massive weight before
