Church you could put some smaller 5000K vero's around each vero 29. Like four vero 10's. If you have some voltage to spare (27V) on your driver they can be in the same string, the small vero's in parallel. You'd get more power, little better efficiency and kickass spectrum.

Since you're vegging with 3000K with good results, this must be at very high intensity. If you want to veg at lower intensity (to save electricity) 5000K is the ideal choice. The plants will grow slower but still fast enough to keep a much larger flower room occupied. The roots will also have more time to bulk up compared to the aerial growth.

I was confused on exactly how the Wago connectors functioned, I looked it up and it makes sense now. If I am running the 3 LED drivers into one cord, I would run the first two drivers into 2 Wago 3 connectors, one positive and one negative, then run the leads out into a 3rd and forth connector that the 3rd driver runs into, and the leads out of those two would run through the fuse? and then into plug that goes into the wall?

Seeing as I am a bit of an obvious newb here... Can anyone explain why and how to wire in the fuse? I think I understanding, but I like to be overly prepared before I undertake any new project.

I learned a lot of info from this thread and built myself a Vero 29 light bar.
I used the pico ez mate and wago connectors so I didn't have to solder at all.
I am using 2 4000K and 2 3500K vero 29s. The drivers are from ebay and use approx 60w each so
the entire bar uses about 240w off the wall. It is very bright and I love it.

well, i broke my tap bit off in the first hole i tried. it is broken off below
the surface, so i can't just use pliers to remove the broken bit. i have
a genetic condition that causes my hands to shake, so i think tapping
the holes might be out of the question. i was using proper technique
with the tap bit, drill a little in, back it out, drill a little in, back it out, but
my tremors got the best of the bit.

@MrFlux do you think that I will be able to just wipe away the thermal
grease that came pre-applied to the heatsink and use thermal paste
to adhere the LED without screws? It is a Vero 29 and will be driven
at ~70w. I noticed that on your build you just used paste and it seems
to work fine, but you used the vero 10 so I wanted to ask before proceeding.

Are you using the oil? I broke mine off without it, then after using it I had much better luck
No, I am not using an oil. I don't really want to tap the holes if it is
unnecessary, I feel like I am just going to repeat the same sequence
of events because of my tremors (which can be pretty bad if I hold
my muscles in the same position for any period of time). A drill press
would negate the tremors, but that's not an option in my current location.

wd-40 is a perfect for drilling/tapping aluminum.

I did break one tapping bit (when i tried the drill for the first time instead of the hand chuck), but it was because I bottomed out and was trying to screw the tap in farther than the hole was deep.

I can't use a tap bit because I have a genetic condition that causes hand tremors!

where you have to hold the drill in the same position to tap the hole while you
go in and out with the tap bit it causes my tremors to get worse. i am just going
to have to deal with the same bullshit (broken tap) over and over if i try to tap
these holes. i appreciate your help and support, but it isn't really helping me with
my specific situation. action tremors are a bitch!

This works....need to be careful if you ever remove it though. It's possible to crack the ceramic base of cob if your not careful. But otherwise it's easy and works..

This works....need to be careful if you ever remove it though. It's possible to crack the ceramic base of cob if your not careful. But otherwise it's easy and works..

Wouldn't it be more effective with a thermal paste and kapton tape? Seems to work well for supras panels.

I've never done it supras way so I have no idea how well it stays stuck. I do trust supra completely so if he says it works I believe him...

The product I listed is finicky too...not perfect and not tested for a full run. They have a stickier option that would be more permanent but supposedly still removable. http://www.aitechnology.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3&products_id=15

Just another option to try that may work well for some

$40 + cob whatever you do make sure it's on good...

went to best buy and they had antec formula 7 nano diamond for the same
price as the house brand that used aluminum. the antec is supposed to do
a better job dissipating heat than the aluminum house brand at best buy.

got a washer to put over the cob and placed a stack of books over that.

i can't seem to find if antec is just a thermal grease or if it is an adhesive as well,
anyone know for sure?
