For a 4x4 area would 2 4ft agromax be enough? I will be running quantum boards 2 boards per piece actually I could put in 3 2 at the edges and one in the middle. how many hours per day should I run the uvbs?

thats way too much. i run 2 2 foot agromax for only a total of 1 hour a night.

i am even considering running just 1 of them and putting the other in another 4x4 tent.

not to mention they are 2-3 feet above the canopy.

4 footers would be extreme overkill that will probably damage your plants

Do you know what percentage of UVB/UVA the Agromax tubes actually have?
And do you really let them run at night, so without the main light?
If so, why do not you let it run in the daytime, so along with the main light?
Does not that mess up the day/night rhythm because of the coolwhite part of the tubes?

It's recommended to start with an half hour at noon and slowly ramp up untill you see first signs of UV burning(leaf tipps and margins). I can not say much about the Agromax tubes, except they should be very strong. Most reports use so-called reptile tubes for desert reptiles like Arcadia D3 desert, ReptiSun 10.0 or JBL (10-14% UV-B/30-60% UV-A, 7000°k/CRI90)

Thanks I will start out with 2 2 footers then I was thinking i needed it to cover the whole tent for light spread.

Thanks will follow this procedure for trial and error.

I use 300k for veg and it is mixed wioth 5000k for a wonderful veg and very bushy outcomes.

regarding Royal Blue cobs, I get them from ebay for like $8/each and they have Vf of 8v-10v so about five cob's will fit on a lpc-60-1050 MW driver for wonderful results. I also use 10w Deep Red and Far Red cobs for the same effects and drivers. works wonderful all available on ebay.
