Hi, I'm a newbie and want to vaporize my home grown short rider:weed:. My lungs are very sensitive with COPD so I'm affraid it will burn. How hot or not is vaporized weed.

Thanks for any help.

I use the Volcano. It fills up a bag of vape and you can just wait for it to cool down before inhaling. A very smooth vape that will not make you cough much - i don't at all. The reason for me buying the vaporizer is in fact that i always cough when smoking and i hate it. My new Volcano i just looooove. I know it's waaaaay too expensive (it's really just a heat gun with a temp. controller) but it just works very well.
But to answer your question - it's how how you want it to be (unless you want it hotter or colder than the vaporizer and room temperature and freezer could make your vape ;O)) ).
With a volcano plastic bag you could even freeze it to give an even cooler vape. It sounds to me like you would reallly love a vaporizer.

Just a warning. I bought a Vapir one - used it 3-4 times - put it back in the case under my bed. Bought a Volcano - has been attached to my body ever since. I breathe through it and love it ;O))
You can even mix in some mullein leaves to make the vape even softer. I sometimes mix some peppermin leaves into my vaporizer - know it sounds gay, but i just like the candy taste and cooling soothing effect.

Hope this helps.

Thank you both replies. I've been looking for an answer for weeks. At least I know I won't burn my lungs if I use a Valcano. Did not know I can control heat. I was affraid to use prescribed inhaled powder meds. Short Rider should have me breathing easy using a vaporizer.

I have the iolite portable, it's abt 250. Auto heat control, can get slightly warm. Great "burn" of material. If when inhaleing it gets alittle hot just take smaller drags. One full load last abt 20-25 min. Absolutely blasted when done. I am cig smoker so this nice on the ole ash collectors, lungs, when the roor is not used.

If you Vaporize at a lower temperature you will not have a harsh or hot draw.
Really the best way to go with COPD or any respiration issues would be edibles.
But a Vaporizer at low temps will be more like a Nebulizer machine.

hope this helps :)
