You lost it? Wtf it was looking so healthy..

Hey man you see how my progress is so slow and has been impeded by deficiency, and the worst part about it is I didn't change anything about my method except adding microbes (which couldn't be the cause.)

it never really looked to healthy right after i put the sprout in the hydroton, one went really bad right away and i thought i could save the other one. the only shot i did of it was a distance pic. it had turned whiteish from the time i put it in the hydroton. i think i had the ph way to high, and maybe put them in the hydroton to soon? but it sprouted some new green leaves for a minute so i thought it was getting better. the one thats healthy i made sure my ph was right when i pit her in the hydroton.( also my rockwool got moldy after awhile when it was taking so long to get it going.) i dont know vo. it wasnt solid white but a off color white that they turned to. all i can think of is i know when they started looking bad my ph was really high.

Hi mjdudeist! Glad to meet another hydro VK grower! I think you are doing great but do keep in mind that VK tends to be a bit sensitive to Mg deficiency (my case only, I'm using near 0 ppm RO) and humidity in the first 2-3 weeks. I currently have 4 plants going in a 3x3 tent and two of them showed some amount of Mg deficiency from early on. Luckily the two others did not mind the extra Mg so all was good after that point on. Once VK picks up it's growth spurt in veg, you'll need to figure out a way to train them to keep an even canopy. They are bushy as hell!

hey man i appreciate it. it's just a 5 gallon cooler, with a 10 to 30 gallon air pump. running elite bubble disc. 400 watt m.h. in a six inch cool tube. closet is two ft by four ft. 8 ft. ceiling. very plain setup. i also noticed my grommet came out and some insulation from between the plastic layers had got in my rez. but they were already sick buy then.

looking good mjdudeist! Are you using RO by any chance? W/ RO and lack of trace minerals, the VK is rather Mg hungry, but if you are using tap water then I'd just look for signs in the next couple of weeks.

thanks man, i'm useing tap water. i'm trying to keep a close eye on the ph. easin into the nutes.

i'm going to add this confidental cheese to my grow (freebie), i need at least 2 plants going. if i want a decent supply and not run out.lol cause i'm already going to run out before the v.k. is done. i dont want to waste any more v.k. seeds. until i get one grown. its a fickle strian. anyway already sprouted i will wait a few days then pop her in the hydroton. i'll leave the thread the same name. but i'll have two kinds going now.

This plant is still a seedling and not in vegetation state yet. Many people do not realize this. You should not be giving any nutes just trace amounts if any specially in DWC, I do not give any nutes until the 4th or 5th node is grown and all my plants stay and look healthy.

You use tap water (non RO'd) BBC?

i havent givin anything to it. and i use tap water.

sorry i thought you were talking about the sprout. i have givin light nutes to the v.k., was that wrong? should i flush it? it did turn the first leaves yellow.

No nutes for at least a week.. I like to give very light doses at the first sight of the third node.

some one tell me if i have saved this plant and if it's worth flowering. it was bad, but it has really turned around. this is one of my origanal v.k. it really didnt look good for a long time. i topped it twice to try and get something out of her. thought i was done with her for awhile.

Looks fine, at least in those pictures.. but they both have horrible lighting and you can't see the leaf color.

there green i'll do more with light off later. a couple of left over bad leaves. i'm shocked it looks this good.

Sorry for my confusion mj, but what was wrong with it? Besides the lower leaves or w/e it looks fine to me. What kind of issues did you have with it?

when i first started 2 v.k.'s they both turned white almost as soon as they sprouted. one wilted away and this one i just keep with it. if you saw what it looked like early on , i thdidnt think it would make it. it's 7 weeks old. i topped it twice to get it bushed. also( topped 2 lower branches) if thats called topping. also i got rid of a lot of the bad leaves already. it did have way more. most of the growth happened in the last week.
