Using tea in dwc, getting build up of brown stuff. Bad or not?

So I'm in dwc. I've been using 1 cup per gallon of Heisenberg tea. And re upping every 2 or 3 days with a cup more. I run 2.5 gallons per bucket. I washed the build up off the roots and cleaned all and re did new water with tea, 1:1 ratio, as usual. The build up was back the next day. The build up is always above the water line.
My roots keep growing. All the roots under water are super white. The only reason I keep usin so much tea is because the slime seems to come back when I cut back. Maybe u didn't use it long enough before and that's why it came back, I'm not sure. I can't afford for it to come back again. My buddy had trees using only the methods I tought him. He has the same brown build up. Does not seem to be effecting him in any way. His roots are exploding and he has way more brown shit then I do.

My plan is to redo the water and start using 1 cup of tea per 5 gallons for a couple weeks then drop it to 1 cup to 10 gallons after that.

Has anyone else expierienced this as well? Was it a problem? How did you rectify it?

Thanks peoples!

If the tea is working correctly.. you will get brown looking crap over roots especially above water as the BB need oxygen and place to live more then likely there, sides of bucket etc. That is the BB thriving and f)@(!*ing their brains out, if you don't see that in some extent your tea is not working as it should.

I don't use it as I just keep temps at bay and use aquashield.. half the mess, 99% less trouble and no smell.

Well that's pretty great news. Have you ever had slime problems? I'd like to use just aqua shield for simplicity but I've tried it before and the slime came back. It held the slime at bay at 3tsp per gallon but when I backed off to 2 tsp per gal it came back. It was probably still in there tho and that's why it came back. 3tsp per gallon gets pricy with 75 gallons of water....

Man if it works at 3 tsp gallon that's great, use it. I mean you're running 75 gallons, did you think it was going to be cheap with anything you are going to protect that many plants/water with?
