hey guys, setting up another cab, out with the old, in with the new. Im going to be running 150 watts of hps and 150 watts of cfl, my grow space is 24 cubic feet so I was planning on purchasing the 80cfm whisper fan which is their quietest model. I realize that I will be replacing the air in my cab 2-3 times a minute, which I believe should beable to keep temps in reason, but still im having doubts. I have read somewere that the panasonic fans cannot be hooked up to a speedcontrol, which is whats keeping me from getting a larger fan and just turning it down for the same noise level and more cfm, could some one please chime in on wether or not this fan can take a controller? thanks so much

An 80 CFM cpu fan will not cool 150 watts of HPS and 150 watts of CFL's. Get a real exhaust fan such as an inline fan.

noise is really the biggest issue here, im playing with the different varriable of this grow. Its occured to me that maybe just a single 250 hps in a cooltube, on a seperate exhaust (cooled by a couple of 120mm pc fans 'square type' put into a wooden box in series 'two fans in a row' blowing dirrectly through the cooltube, the intake for the cooltube would be outside the box, and the exhaust would be outside the box, so the hps cooling would be a completly different zone than the 80cfm panasonic sucking air from inside the box, hooked up to my scrubber. It seems that this is the only way to make my box dead silent. I already have the 80cfm panasonic fan left over from one I took out of a bathroom that I was redoing and the home owners did not want the same fan so it was given to me. I mean, I just can't have fan noise above that of a computer. the panasonic is rated at 0.4 sones, which is perfect for me. whats your thoughts? I don't care how I do it, I just need to achieve around 28,000 lm for my 32" x 18" x 45" space
