Using Molasses

Very good post damnit. I am used to seeing that 10 page long essay about how molasses is beneficial to plants, but never once does it say how much to use. It seems molasses is just as efficient during vegging as it is flowering, considering the bacteria it feeds, energy it produces for plants etc. I bought a gallon of Grandma's Gold at Smart & Final for $15.00, I hear its cheaper at a farm supply store tho. I took half of the container and mixed it with half water, and brought it to a boil on the stove, Makes it much thinner and more soluble.

Who mentioned about anything leaving pockets of shit in your lungs?
IMHO, you gotta at least flush that shit for 3 days before the hack all those excess sugars in the plant might not break down after the fact and leave you with pockets of shit that makes you feel like your chest is gonna explode and im not talking in that "damn this is good bud" type of way.
Just sayin'...

i dont know how, does not being able to understand what people are saying a factor in your life usually? Who mentioned about anything leaving pockets of shit in your lungs? I was referring to the extra carbs leaving pockets of un processed sugars (carbs) inside of your plant material. Are you familiar with how plants function? Or just "grow weed dawg"? because based off of your previous statement id put money on the later of the 2.
I misread, my bad. Calm down. I was simply stating that your whole post seemed suspect. People flush with molasses and sugars all the time. I have never seen pockets of unprocessed sugars in weed. Have you? Really?

Thanks for re quoting my information to back up the point that i never said pockets of shit in your lungs.

I appreciate your effort to me a smart ass, however you have failed and also in doing so have made yourself look like a fool with little to no ability to gather information that is in front of your face and investigate yourself instead of attempting to back up the claims of someone whom obviously has no idea as to what they speak.

Like i said BRUDDAAAHHH, thanks!

Your continued statements of mis information and mis nomers as to what i have said are beginning to lead you on a trail of continously making yourself look like a fool.

I ask simply, point me to any statement i have made where i have said that i have seen pockets of shit anywhere. Please, do so??

Thanks alot BUDDY.

I add molasses without modifying my nutes. However, i also use half strength nutes but have used full/full with no ill effects.

i used molasses for many years after reading the 3lb thread. you mention to get the no sulfur molasses but i've always read that sulfur (not too much) is needed for the plants. i don't recall any probs using plain old blackstrap.

why do you recommend getting the non sulfur stuff? i ordered some blackstrap this morning with sulfur. talk about timing. lol

edit:
i caught up on the great sulfur/non-sulfur debate. pretty funny.

we always ask questions but often conclude that we kinda think we know but we really don't know. when more states lossen the laws (please lord, i don't ask much...) controlled studies will answer many mysteries. i remember when nobody was talking about looking at trichomes to determine when to harvest (maybe some nut on a tiny board). we always picked according to the percentage of hairs that were red. progress! :)

the 3little birds recommended the stuff with sulfur and that's good enough for me. i used the brer rabbit blackstrap with sulfur for about 10 years. there was no sulfur/no sulfur debate back then.

i love marijuana debates! such creative people. :)

if youre referring to my post about unsulphured, the answer is as simple as this. Its what it says on the label on the bottle. Other then that, its the only thing ive used as far as molasses so i couldnt tell you about using sulphured.

plants do indeed need sulpher, but not much. the only bad thing about using sulphured molasses that i can think of is over time it may acidify your soil.

its possible to add the molasses with your nutrients. i dont because some nutes like earth juice & bio bizz contain molasses already. i do still use molasses in my regular waterings without nutes

Hey whats up y'all!!! I was out mixing my nutes this morning before watering, And was adding my $27.50 bottle of Sugar Daddy and remembered hearing something on molasses. Does it have the same effect on plants? Ill kick myself in the ass if ive been spending $30 opposed to 5 or 6... hahaha
wow!! even though i dont use sugar daddy & admit i do not know much about the product.. a 5 gallon container of mollases is about $5 cheaper

In referance to Super Thrive .Thats what i thought I overdosed a tomato plant at that dose ! The lower branches dropped straight down and the leaves stood up stall .Plant looked like i gave it steroids or something .Havent messed with it since but I,m gonna experiment with it some more on a particular plant I have in mind.Label says 1 drop per gallon!User beware i say.Its very potent start off slow with it !

mamador1r: YEAH! im glad i found out about molasses before buying another bottle of Sugar Daddy, Im not knockin the stuff because it seemed to work very well, just cant see payin so much for it. Ill be sticking with molasses definitely...

I Just went exploring to find some blackstrap molasses. Kroger only had regular unsulphered, which is like stage 2 in the refinement process. Family Dollar did not have it. I almost gave up, then I saw a GNC Health food store. I remembered people take the stuff daily cuz its good for you, so I gave it a try, BINGO! Just over 5 bucks for 15 fl oz of the Plantation brand. "Blackstrap" is boiled 3 times and has a higher concentration of minerals than all other forms. I've been reading to alternate the molasses feedings with fert feedings, and/or plain water. The molasses improves the effeciency of the ferts in your dirt or water, so less ferts are necessary. Gonna give this a try on my young Querkle!
* On a side note - I've noticed that, of all the forums I've been in, the Marijauna forums are the MEANEST! Not sure why, but that is the trend. You would think we would all be a little more mellow and not so damn uptight! lol. Peace my friends.
