Ok so this guy gave me 5oz of very fine ground up plant...i dont know if he was going to try and make hash with it or something like that but i was thinking maybe it will work good in the soil?

heres my theory. plants in the wild get nutes from old dead plants and what not right? well wouldnt it work the same or does it need time to break down? i was thinking of sprinkling some on top of the soil and let the water pull it into the soil?

so good idea or not? thinking it might be more potent if you put some of the good stuff right in through the roots. help me out here guys and let me know what you think thanks!!

I wouldn't. Plant matter has to have time to break down before it can be absorbed by other plants. While its breaking down it can cause mold and other types of fungus. The vast majority of which you do not want in your grow room.

Just start a compost pile outside and put all of your grass cuttings, leaves, egg shells, fish guts, fruit/veggie waste, or anything else organic into it. By next summer it will be ready to mix into your soil and your plants will love it.
