At the risk of another DUH reply...when do you think the hundreds of millions of square feet under cultivation will create a surplus?
Most of us are aware of supply and demand principles....You might find the history of sell prices in Canada interesting. It is not legal up here, yet we have been experiencing market saturation for the last six months. Prices have dropped significantly.
Colorado is a microcosm of what the future of pot in this country will look like. No one will tolerate less than grade A well manicured chronic; the Mexican Mafia gave up trying to sell schwag because no one would buy it here!

Prices have been falling for years and will continue to. Without the upward price pressure from tourists and 'exporters', weed would already be a Franklin a QP, or even less; maybe just $200US for a whole kilo!

Read my thread; I'm counting on this continuing process to play into my hands as I introduce a system to improve the efficiency of indoor cultivation. Saying the same thing another way, my innovations will reduce costs associated with production and drive prices down even more.

BC prices are surging up. 1300-1450 is still common but 1600-1700 is probably close to 40% now and even 1900 is starting to show. It is really dry atm but seems some groups of buyers are paying higher prices for good produce. Would be interesting to know where they take it to still make money on paying $1900.

U are not going to see me complain about prices. When I first started puffing, weed cost me $40 for an OZ, I never could afford that much and always got a half OZ for $20 and tried to last it a month--which meant mooching off friends towards the end of each month.

Then after HS, prices went up, first to $50 an OZ but then it sky rocketed to $40 a quarter but the weed started to have fewer steams and seeds--which I don't need.

Before I got my MM card here in Michigan, I was paying $20 a gram for bud with no seeds. I was paying the same price at first but the grams were all oversize.

I now pay $200 for oversize OZ's and I'm pretty happy about that.
