Hey Gange, I recently read a great article on the sub. Sounded fantastic. I ppm' mine and it was off the charts! Finally about one cup per gal. Dilution gave me ~400ppm. I'm total newb but 1-2 mos. away from my first harvest indoor 400W Lumigrow, soil, building my greenhouse for eventual organic runs. And I am absolutely experimenting with my free nute factory. Crazy but after reading I was convinced! I just signed up seconds ago and wanted to join the auto seed start run with a few peeps you included but I can't find the thread can u help? Thx

just remember that being organic and sterile doesn't mean you can't overdo it, 400 w isn't going to make your plants grow fast enough to probably "justify" thatn need of nitrogen man, urine is best used for outdoor grows, and even then only as a corrective measure to combat a "hungry" plant.
typically only a high amount of light (1000 w or more HID, or REALLY efficient LED) will accelerate the photosynthesis to the point of nitrogen being deficient, a 400w probably not, but there are way more variables to that, container size, soil mix, cec, age, train methods, strain, etc.
in a perfect world you want long slow releases of nitrogen, grass clippings, neem meal, crab meal, etc.
dog hair is a good one if you have a furry friend that sheds, but only if you aren't giving them flea treatments and such. Those take a long ass time to break down.
another good one is feather meal, BUT only if you can source it from homesteaders/organic free range growers.
reason is the feather meal has scary amounts of arsenic present in almost ALL commercially available feather meals
which sucks cuz I really liked feather meals in my mixes yrs ago
but arsenic is arsenic...
Hey GMM, thanks for the "hot" tips I was recently wondering about hairs i.e. Human, animal, etc. as an additive in soil amending. I have no intention of using urine in any form on my current LED grow. AND I've yet to reconcile all of the ingredients IN urine. I HAVE read briefly many many stories and scientific info. On the subject and my uses will initially be utilized in composting and organic amending outdoors. I want to leave no stone unturned researching organic growing and believe it or not there are some very recent studies showing results never known until now regarding urine and its many compounds and hormones (different in male/female) and during different life cycle stages. I. E. Pregnancy, puberty etc. hormone therapy from horse urine and fertility studies we're just scratching the surface. Human survival stories of ppl stranded those that drank there own urine survived while those that didn't , didn't. Etc. extremely interesting field. Read some UT articles (urine therapy) you won't believe it. I believe cannabis will be proven to be breakthrough science that's been intentionally covered up for 50 years so that big pharma can thrive by synthetically poisoning us for $$$!!! Cheers!

and hair is a damn good thing to use for a slow release form of nitrogen, it breaks down perfectly slow, I've been using it for yrs, my dog sheds like a mofo, and I got to shave my beard too, so why the hell not?
