Upgrade to Hps

Went from 26 cfls and about 800 watts to 400 watt hps lamp and am hella stoked to see the difference!

Your next step should be to go up to a 600w and you'll really be happy again!
I would say a 600 in that space would be just about perfect. Your Sativa dominate plants will like that better too!
You'll get shorter plants with tighter node spacing and larger more dense cola's all over again!

Yes this is my first time using this type of lighting. Been growing cannabis for about a year now using them cfls slowly learning and adding bulbs and what not. Did a lot of lifted research and decided it was time to step it up! Plans are to flower out these next couple under this lamp, observe yeild differences and then I may upgrade to the 600w and dedicate this lamp to veg seeing how its metal halide combo. And the strain is sour dream by the way, all same pheno from the one mom. Two on the outsides are my first set of cuttings. The one in the back is a mom from that first mother at one week in 13/11 lighting. And I got five teens from that in my veg box

You might also wanna try adding a second 400W HPS rather than replacing with a 600W (unless your ballast would work with 600W.

2x400W HPS is great. I've heard 600W is the sweet spot, but for me, 400W is the sweet spot. They're all sweet.

$130 on amazon and its way brighter than the 26 cfls I had in there. My temps have stayed the same as well.

how old are them now ? have you harvest them yet ?

Yes I harvested the oldest in the pic, and the next two that will be up are filling in quite nicely. I think I will hit that 1 1/2 oz mark for each one, they will be ready in two weeks and have had hps their whole flower cycle.

Didn't take pics because I harvested in two stages and yeild didn't look like much but got 33 grams combined. These next two I'm gonna hang the whole plant like I usually do. Tends to slow dry time down a bit.

Pic update, gonna take one of the older two in a week and let the other one go two weeks longer. All are sour dream and clones that I took off the mother I had. And I'm also stoked because I got a vanilla kush cutting that I'm gonna use as a mom and get two strains on lock.

I hear hortilux makes a dual spectrum hps bulb might get me one of them to help stop the stretch.

Was planning on taking this one on Wednesday but now I'm thinking like a week, any thoughts??
