Unknowns Let's talk about em'

Well for the past several years I've been growing strains from breeders that aren't real commercial, or well known. Doing that has some advantages in my humble opinon. Because you find great stuff without breaking the bank. I used to buy big name stuff only, but after several runs of Cali Con gear that proved to be, well Ugly, I decided to try breeders who where less motivated by this $$$.

I thought I'd drop some names, and hope other folks would also. This can be a the good, the bad, and the ugly thread for lesser known breeders. Please list their name, the strain or strains you grew from them, and afterwards say : Good, Bad, or Ugly Remember results will alway vary by environment and based on grower skill. So, one guys bad, isn't necessarily hard proof it's bad, and another guys good, might not be your cup of tea either. Only hoping to bring to light, strains from lesser knowns that are and are not worthy of our time, space, and money.

Escobar: Chocolate Rain (very good) does best if topped, clones very easy.

Insane Seed Posse: Cantaloupe Skunk (very good) low odor, serious yielder, Chem D BX3 (very good) very potent, A-Dawg (good) plant it and forget it plant outdoors (tonka tough)

Stavia Diva: Chemical Nightmare (good) great high, strange flavor (maybe it was my soil mix ??)

Jaws: Alien Cookies (very good, but low yielder) loved the high, wish I had more of it.

Ok, now it's your guys and gals turn to add to the list.

Swami Genetics: Zazen- mediocre. Lots of variation, bland taste, pretty good buzz, very frosty.

Dynasty Genetics: Caramel Candy Kush- Very good. Some variation, I found the Ms Universe phenos to be the best although the Bubba Kush phenos were nice too. Nice smell, nice taste, nice buzz, very frosty. Huckleberry Spacequeen- Very good. Only one female from a 3 pack, but it was good in every aspect. Excellent smell and taste.

Ocean Grown Genetics: Sleeping Dog produced some of the densest, funkiest nugs I've ever grown. I smoked some of VaderOG's (breeder of Ocean Grown Genetics) Alien Rift at the LA Cup, and it was beyond fire.

Just a few that popped into my head.

PeakSeedsBC, a small but good range of mostly indoor strains. Their Sweet Skunk is the best indoor sativa I've ever had. As a regular customer, you get to try new unadvertised strains that he's working on too.... for free. A true breeder with a real passion for it.

E$kobar - Chucky's Bride. cheese x pineapple cindy, great yield, quick finish, tasty, and vg buzz.
Dr Underground - Melon Gum. More indica than above, but all the attributes as above.
Dr Underground - Brooklyn Mango - haven't smoked it yet, but chopped a nice sparkly one a couple of days ago, 12/12 fs under cfls.
Freedom of Seeds - Cheese Dom - a fem version of TGA Cheesequake, I've ran several and enjoyed them all.
Loud Seeds - pre 98 Bubba Kush - exactly as advertised.
Soma - Somango - delicious and colorful
Redeye - Lake of Fire - a heavy, night time only smoke.

Bump, I know they are more unknowns (hiding in the shadows) we need to know, and talk about.

You guys remember when you could order seeds out of cannabis culture before marc emery got busted?

Vancouver seed co. ~ Purple Lightening ~ was pulling 3/4 lb. outdoor of dark purple indica that looked like indoor in august.
Early girl,early pearl,fucking incredible,4 way,durban poison.

Now everyone is on the net,but marc emery started all this seed biz,or at least created the forum for seed breeders to offer up their creations.

anyways.....

The one plant I got from my uncle was called the U dub,it was made by the university of Washington,clone only 45 day sativa with skinny dark leaves and droplets of thc crystals.We lost it and we searched for it til my uncle died last year....and now im still seeking it or her similarities.

I have Mango from homegrownfantaseeds I put into flower about a week ago. Nice looking plant so far but a little slower in veg than I am used too.
Blue Heron from dynasty also a week into flower... it had some odd crinkly/twisted leaves in veg but it seems to have grown out of that and has a slight coffee smell with a hint of berry at this point.. I would take pictures but not much to see at this point.

people might like to keep their secrets secret if ya know what im sayn.But I like your attempt to learn about specialties.

anybody here ran any cali dope seeds before? use to be called mattman seeds?
they use to be at tdt and cali dispensary's awhile back.

seen some GREAT PICS of green kush... mainly the reason i got it
