i just noticed hundreds of these little guys...they seem to be staying off the plant, but are crawling everywhere else...cords, soil, around pots. does anyone have any idea what this may be, i have done a little research and havent seen a picture of it yet. a couple things: light colored and semi transparent, 6 legged, and a small number of hair growing evenly around its body...all seem to share the same characteristics..(size, color, shape). large oval shaped bodies with small heads (which are a little darker)

please help me out here, not sure if i should exterminate...fellow farmers, my crop is at stake here!

I have those too. They might be gnat larve. I've been doing research and i'm trying to figure it out. They are not on the plant but i'm worried they are eating at the roots. They crawl out of the soil and are all over the place when i water.

Fungus gnat larva do float around when you water, and can be eliminated by always allowing the top 1" or so of your soil to dry out between waterings.

plant lice is a british term for aphids. ive been treating with a mild soap/alcohol/water solution...it does kill them. i see a few the next day. i havent gave them all the ammo i got because i want to see what they are before extermination. they hang out in the soil and the rim of the pot, anything they can transfer to cords, lights...they will.

they dont reside on the plants, only on the topsoil and around the rim of the pot...havent seen any damage to the plant

SON OF A MOTHER F BITCH--- the plant with by far the worst "issue" with the bugs in the soil is starting to have some bottom wilt and yellowing.nute ratio and ph are fine.
I'm dropping tobacco water and organic dish soap on the soil later. I'm tired of pussy footing around.
