Veg Update- Babies- seeds vs clones transplant

Planted some more beans- DOG, Dippy Ellsy x ?, and BMF's Highlanders cave. 5 of each, and three dogs are the first to pop their heads.
20150207_191639.jpg

Now for the seeds vs clones... The seedlings were transplanted 3 days ago, the clones just today, even still I would say they are neck and neck. What do you think? The seedlings took over the shelf for a couple of days and now its the clones turn. There are still 6 seedlings on the shelf, can you tell which ones they are? hint-Front center 3 the 3 behind them in the first two pictures. You will see the rest of that "ians beans" batch spread around the veg chamber in the next couple of posts.

Oh yeah-

So 10 ladies went outside, and stayed outside. Hopefully the weather holds out- not happy about how all that went down, in the end its gunna cost a bit.... but what's done is done and it is what it is... They weren't happy after their first night, third day outside today, watered yesterday and all but the Alpha D x OG that I LST'ed perked right back up. I also top dressed them with fresh soil to replace what sloshed out during the move and to help keep em a little insulated at night.

Things did not go as planned- now gotta put a rush on getting their support systems up, hopefully frame in something for a plastic cover for if it rains and put up fencing. I was hoping to have a good bit done before they went out but- oh well nothing I can do now, you'll see them move around a bit till all settles in. Hope they don't jump into flower to fast actually haha.

Here see-

Flower Update- Start of Week 5- Fed 2 days ago- FFBB (2 tblspns/gal) FFTB (2.5 tspn/gal) 1/4

Animal Cookies-
Pics just dont do her justice- any of these really, I think its the lighting and that the fan was blowing them around and I was impatient taking pics with people waiting on me. Sweet smelling. Nugging up better than I expected :). Might want to note that she is in a pot 2/3 the size of the others. Harvest goal at flower onset for this runt was 1/2 oz.

OG x SR71 (bushy)-
She is finally starting to really fill in and "push out", especially at the top which I worried about a little bit after it got too close to the bulb while I was so busy with other projects. I'm coming around to her :). One reason for that is how densely porportioned her budsites are, literally everywhere- see? Harvest goal at flower onset was 1 oz.

Denser thicker nugs than her sister, this plant has had the densest growing top of all of the plants in flower consistently. These plants STINK- too... like OG.... coffee OG :D. Harvest goal at flower onset was 3/4 oz.

Alpha D x OG-
She is my favorite- has a dirty stink to her, the diesel. Would have benefited from some training for sure. I am really hoping her top fills in to a nice cola, its a bit thin right now- slower to form up than her lower nug sites, this plant might be in flower a week longer than the others, not sure.... we'll see if she pushes it out on the top over the next two weeks. That first pic shows her lowest tops, one of them is quite large :). Harvest goal at flower onset was 1 1/4 oz.
20150213_185443.jpg 20150213_185512.jpg 20150213_185519.jpg 20150213_185535.jpg 20150213_185610.jpg 20150213_185621.jpg 20150213_185635.jpg 20150213_185704.jpg

So......

Tomorrow or the next day, probably the next day, I will be watering, and giving 1/2 strength Beastie Bloomz. Kind of want to go over Harvest goals from onset of flowering-
Animal Cookies- 1/2 oz
OGxSR Bushy- 1 oz
OGxSR Squat- 3/4 oz
Alpha Dx OG - 1 1/4 oz

total goal of 3 1/2 oz's . a little more than 3 weeks to go. I try to set goals that are lower than what I would hope for or believe possible, so I am not let down in the end ;). better to expect less and get more, than expect more and get less. I personally believe at this point I will be pretty close to 4 oz's total. we'll see.
After these finish I want to clear the space, including the three little plants that are hiding way down low and stretching up (which I am happy about, they will go outside), I want to start a fresh set with a different schematic going.... make an actual intentional run of it with PKSR71- might just leave that little one in there. Pics of them in a few days they are just one one week 12/12, and since they weren't mature yet, I would offset the start of flower date by 1 week, so week 1 would be next week. Till then, tons more veg stuff going on- shit ton of work.... the quiet before the storm, just need materials.

So it's Friday :) Week 4 Flower- 400W HPS Transition Fed Beastie Blooms watered in.

Flower room update- week 4

This is broken up into three posts..... because of pic numbers and because a couple days ago I stuck the two taller plants outside. To my delight they did really well going outside. A storm is about to bring them back inside for a couple of days, but they have to be off to the side and not directly under the light.

I Fed all four first thing this morning with Beastie Blooms- inside and outside. 1/2 tspn per gallon of water, watered in. Would like to explain this a little. First I spread a quart of water between the two plants, let it soak in for a minute, Then I spread a 1/2 gallon of the Beastie Bloom solution between the two, giving more to the Animal Cookies because it needs more, I don't wait for it to soak in, I quickly grab 1/2 gallon of water and spread it between the two back and forth making sure it soaks in evenly. I measured 1 qt runoff. Took these pics about 45 minutes after feeding. The two inside are:

Animal Cookies- still very happy with this strain, happy to have it and eager to take more cuttings and work with it in the future. Little extra veg time, little extra perlite, little less water, and a shitload of twisting and tying it down should bring up her yield potential tremendously. I also look forward to breeding with this more than anything- down the road... got about 4 more of them, one in particular looking fantastic. I'm flowering the runt....

OG x SR71-
Smoking a bowl of this while I write this update. Nice stuff. It's not my favorite admittedly, I love the smell though, taste, looks great, etc etc. actually not as heavy as a high as i need- But then I am starting to realize my tolerance is kind of ridiculous. I am going to see about revegging this after harvest and taking some cuts- I really like this phenotype, short squat and looks like nice yield- this is also a runt of course. This cross was bred with large fast growing plants that stretch and have heavy yields- I am keeping this for its indoor SOG potential. Also note I believe this genotype to be the heavier hitting variety of the cross, and the other a lighter high (see previous updates).

nice cross. what causes the leave curl ?
the amount of energy being used, the high concentration of feedings mostly, heat and transpiration. but that is a cross that I am very happy with. Speaking of which been so busy hardly had time to fart, let alone update.

A variety of issues have come up over the last few weeks.... equipment, weather, work, etc etc. Suffered some hard hits and taking them as best as I can. As a result the Alpha D started to mold.... so to prevent its spread I removed the infected parts, and ended up harvesting some early to prevent it getting contaminated either.... so some came down at 6 weeks, and some at 7 with just a little left on the plant. Lost about 10 grams is my guess, to the mold, harvested about 7 grms at week six, and most of the rest at week 7. I am not going into a lot of the details- the weather is really a much more pressing issue for me..... since I had to stick the ladies out early without nearly as much prep as I planned.... it cost me BIG TIME, and no I am not happy about it at all.... so I will let all the negative rest on that note, and move onto the progression and positive of things.... like how happy I am with the quality of the Alpha D and the potential I see in working with it.... see?
harvested at six weeks- dry in pick- Alpha D

Harvested at 7 weeks still drying for another few days-

On the edge of the chopping block- Week 8 Animal Cookies- yum

Also not quite ready, maybe a whole nother week to it.... will see how she finishes up. Frosty, but not as pungent as the OG's- would like to take some cuts to mother for indoor runs, looks like yield potential could be good with solid veg time.

SPRING HARVEST post 1 of
sorry for the delay.
I am about half way through the spring harvest. Its been a rough couple of months. The plants went out a bit early and didnt ever get the plastic cover they needed to protect them from the cold and the storms. but it is what it is and I am being surprised with how well a few of the ladies are coming out. Here is a couple posts of pic updates from this harvest.

This is where everything is at as of this morning. It was arranged on two separate occasions to have help with the harvesting- But nope, all on me and Im struggling to work and pay bills at the same time. So that's just life. Best thing to do is make the best of it and keep on keeping on :)

trimmed up and ready for sweating

hows it hanging? This is my favorite plant out of the garden... actually looking forward to trimming this one.
20150519_074737.jpg
This box is full of popcorn nugs.... hopefully makes some super good wax
20150519_074800.jpg
Each bag holds the harvest of a single plant. These ones are done and ready for storage until they are needed for meds. harvest weights are on the bags.
20150519_075112.jpg

We'll take a closer look at the variety in the next post.
