I am having some serious problems with my plant... STILL..., The PH has stayed constnat between 6-7, and I just started to give them CAL-MAG, Plus I am also given them GH MAxi Gro... My plants are being REALLY REALLY WEIRD THOUGH!!!

I think it might be boron as neither of my plants nutrients have boron as a trace nutrients... so I guess my question is, is twisted growth a boron thing as shown here:

http://www.onlinepot.org/grow/nutrients2.htm

if yes, WHERE CAN I GET BORONIC ACID OR SOMETHING TO HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

a picture of your plant would actually aide in you getting answers.
Need at least some more basic information. Are you growing in hydro or soil?

If soil what kind of soil, if Hydro what kind of nutrients?

How far along are the plants?

Are they in flower?

Are the stems green or purple (particularly the main stalk)?

I can presume from your statement that you are growing hydro using GH nutes, but that's pretty vague. And I don't like to presume, so some clarity is needed.

I have tried to gather as much info as possible...

So I am in veg mode right now. Started with 2 clones in some Perlite mix.... now they are in royal gold basement mix... all soil...

I have had them for about a month, the temp/humidity is all good and the ph of water fed to them is 6.5. I tested the water just recently...

I have the following: GH maxigro, cal-mag, FF bigbloom, molasses, epsom salt, vinegar etc.

i am using for nutes the maxigro and just recently tried by somones advice to supplement it with a very little amount of cal-mag... anyways, I got some pics, I really don't know what the deal is. I think it still might be trace nutreients but I have started giving them just plain water to see if they will recover naturally

definitely an MG defeciency, but generally when they are that small it's because either the water you are using has too much Cal which locks them up or your PH is too high and it's locking them out.

Can you test the PH of your run off water from the bottom of the pot?

Are you using tap water?

the run off is 6.5 ph, i tested the last time i flushed... i am using tap water, usually though what I do is fill bottle with tap, apply half teaspsoon of vinegar, add tiny amoutn of maxigro, tiny amount of cal-mag, then stir up, test ph, pour....It might just be my soil is to "hot" as they would say? ha... The guys at the hydro store were honestly no help when I was asking about it... so I dont really ikonw.. what do you think I should do? more cal-mag?

It sounds like you've got things pretty figured out, I don't know what's causing your problems at this point. I'm going to have to step awway from this one as I grow hydro and haven't done a lot of soil. I've done 2 grows in soil and they were succesful, but after being such a PITA when I came across problems such as yours I switched to hydro and NEVER looked back.

Good luck, I hope someone can save the day for ya.

seriously, I hope so too....

what I've concluded, or would like to conclude, is that Maxigro + cal-mag + all that bs STILL does not give me enough of the trace nutrients like BORON, MOLYBDENUM(?) etc. I already have FF Big Bloom, SO I am thinking, I will flush em with regular water and flower within this upcoming week and buy TIGER BLOOM(trace nutes + high P) and use the tiger to supplment my big bloom and HOPEFULLY, it will heal them....

would u continue the cal-mag even in flowering though?

I wouldn't. I have made that exact move, I actually did it with my current grow. My plants starting show signs of MG defeciency pretty bad so I just switched to flower nutes that higher MG and they straightened right up and have been happy since day 1 of flower.

Yeah, I would definitely flush the soil as I always believe in doing this if you have a problem you can't run down. It's better than guessing at it. Try that and see for a couple of days if they get better. After the flush just add Tiger Bloom and Bloom Big and it shouldn't straighten it out. I know they can be fixed in veg, but like I said, I grow in hydro and I have a harder time with what to do in soil to correct it in veg. I know I get the MG def. alot in veg when I use clones for some reason. The nutes never seem to have enough MG.

ive always wondered after a good flsuhing, can you immediatly add nutes? or do I wait a day for the medium to dry before applying nutes?
I like to wait to see how the plants respond to the flushing. It kind of helps me make sure it was just something in the soil that I've now I cleaned up. Then add back nutes starting at 1/4 stregth.

hi guys, first post... i am having problems with twisted leaves. i am doing ebb and flo with 6x6 rockwool cubes, i just noticed it today after flushing for first time with 5.7 straight water. watered with nutes at half strength an hour later. gh 3 part, hygrozyme, diamond nectar ppm of res is 720 -860 week day 15 of veg.. the leaves are twisting just on crowns at top of branches and main stalk. seemed like it happened in an hour. checked runoff by squeezing cube after watering runoff is 6.7. res is at 5.9

I know this is a old fourm but I had this same issue with my plants recently and I use a tsp of epsom salt ground to dust and 24 oz water and 1ml B52 vitamin and i foilar feed for about 2 weeks and that cleared it right up but im growing in soil so it maybe diffrent for hydro here is a pic after the issue i will try to find the ones with the def

I also have twisted growth and im using Hydro set up. From the looks of it, flushing seems like it will do me best. My ph and PPM are correct for my stage of growth but its still showing signs of burnt tips and twisted growth

Old post but nothing about ppms drives me nuts. Boron deficiency looks same as an abundance and most of time both show up with toxic salt build up. Boron is all over and just bc it dont say it dont mean its not there. Test the ppms in ur runoff. When I was a noob I wasnt watering enough bc it was to hard to clear runoff from under scrog and inevitably ran into salt build up. Slow twisted deformed growth just showed up then brown spots looks like cal prob bc boron needed for calcium uptake. The salt build up causes boron lockout and other nute lockouts but the boron is resposible for twisted deformed growth. I flushed for almost a week then continued feeding and prob cleared up now have mini shop vac to clear runoff. Runoff is very important. My ppms when I started flushing were over 2000 which is terrible. Now my runoff ppms match the fresh nutes im putting in.

I'm not sure about the Boron. I have 2 out of 13 plants showing twisting on new growth. My worst fear obviously would be broad mites but at 2000ppm runnoff salt buildup tracks logically. Im a newbie too but have a soil grow under my belt and a half a coco grow.
I am curious now about the too much calcium possibility because I use tap water and Calmag plus
