Tweed Federally Licenced Canadian Cannabis Producer

Remo (Urban Grower) visits Tweed, one of Canada's new corporate caregivers. It's a giant chocolate factory that has been turned into one of the largest Canadian Licensed Cannabis Producers. I'm no fan of corporate caregivers, but that facility is incredible :-o

That's their master grower? I am guessing a horticulture degree and no actual grow experience. Waste of light...
Usually I would try to refrain speaking my dickish opinion out loud but, that rookie hack is stealing my dream job.

I do not believe Jeremy is the "Master Grower" for Tweed. He simply works in the sativa flower department if I recall.

Ryan Douglas, Master Grower
Ryan has worked in the horticulture field since 1998 and has more than 15 years of experience working in commercial growing operations, managing up to 700,000 plants annually. He was most recently employed as cultivation manager for Remedy Compassion Centre in Auburn, Maine, where he led the large-scale production of medical marijuana and successfully implemented early plant growth protocols to facilitate maximum production yields.

Ryan's experience includes Head Greenhouse Grower of two production facilities for Wilson Farms, where he ran a large-scale commercial greenhouse operation. Ryan has a Bachelor’s degree from Antioch College in Ohio and Horticultural certificates from the National Learning Service Center in Colombia.

The facility – located at 1 Hershey Drive in Smiths Falls, Ontario – consists of eight buildings representing over 470,000 square feet of manufacturing and distributing space situated on approximately 39.6 acres of land. The site was originally selected by the Hershey Company in the early 1960s to be its first plant outside of Hershey, Pennsylvania.

ROTFLMFAO..... I'm thinkin Remo did that to show the sad state of affairs when it comes to big business?

Won't take long to run tweed into the ground with staff like that.

Those prices are about what I've found at farmers markets locally (grade B to A+) for years now. Considering the profit margin achieved through that huge scale operation, they have quite a bit of wiggle room for incompetence/failure ;)

Their prices are good on their budget meds and they offer free shipping as well, I am also impressed that they are growing in dirt. ( I wouldn't)

From an efficiency standpoint their growers do not seem very deserving of getting the keys to a 1000+ light setup at the moment. For selfish reasons I hope they flop and Canada's new model bombs hard. Canada's market is already a lot tougher then ours and that place has to sell
all of their herb through the mail, 2-3 day shipping. That may be very tough when most of their customers can make a phone call and get better herb for cheaper delivered to their house within a few hours. You also have to take into consideration there is a strong correlation between cannabis users and people that hate corporations.

The last minute federal injunction to stop Canada's April Fool's Day joke of banning growing by anyone other than these selected corporate entities is surely to take a toll on all those projected numbers these corporate and government cats had been eyeing ;)

I just read MedMan got hired as "director of production role at AMMCAN, the worlds largest indoor production site."
If things have to go corporate at least they gave the job to someone who has been at it through thick and thin. Not a
guy that was growing lilies and petunias two years ago like tweed did. I am pretty sure MedMan will be hitting 3per light
and getting 7 rips a year out of his flower rooms.

Bye, bye Tweed....
