Europeans use 50% less eletricity than Americans..

People in certain US markets can choose to pay 1 penny more per kilowatt hour to have their power come from renewable resources (wind and hydro).

cool!!

Most people are too lazy to turn the light or tv off when they leave the room. Let alone actually do anything that takes energy to save electricity. Notice I said most not all.

Yes BUT we over the pond dont have big houses like you do in the states,

And as for the sizes of the fridges you guys have damm there huge< I want one.

And for the wind / hydro, Im all for that I have a wind turbine 5 mins dwn the road from me, Some people dont like them but I think there should be more of them, As if we dont start to make changes SOON then we really are going to fuk this world up even more then it allready is.

The baning of the incandescent light bulbs is a good thing but why should it take soo long to do?

2012 is when there talking about stoping them alltogether, But why not just stop them NOW and let stocks run out?

Then every one switch over to the energy saving light bulbs this year and every household should be given 1 light per room as a one off.

It doesnt make sence to me to carry on killing the earth for another 5 years if they know that its doing damage, What could another 5 years do the earth? The ice is all ready melting away now

Even today on the news there are 2 guys going pole to pole and it said that they came across free flowing water in the middle of the Arctic in winter..!!

Now thats saying something..!!

As a grower I feel it's my responsability to offset the electricity used by my 400w HPS, so I made sure all the lights in my house were enrgy savers and also go around turning things off after people. Just my little way of accounting for it

When we had to replace our very old appliances a few years ago (two actually died within one day of each other) I was shocked at the size of new ones. The refrigerators were huge. And talk about fancy gadgets. They did everything but tie your shoes.

We got the smallest fridge they had besides the mini ones. And it is very energy efficient too. Same with the dishwasher and range. Seems like we Americans in general like the biggest and fanciest of everything.

When they make a fridge that pre warms your dank then grinds it and rolls it for you, my life will be complete.
