Thanks thanks! kittysglass.com was really easy to make, fdd! Its just a standard Wordpress installation, a free theme, and then the plugin "Artpress". I dont think it took even an hour to do =) Time to go make some glass.....

Nice pipes! I think you win the award for most improvement in glass blowing. Keep up the good work, I'm diggin the site too, I wanna see more!

I'm loving the site, I'm actually quite happy that you made a site, because I wanted to be able to see your range and an easy place to buy, I'll definitely be keeping watch

Ready for some fun?

Pic 001: While working on this.........

Pic 002: ...which looks like this when your looking at the original length of pyrex tubing....

Pic 003: ...I started to smell something...............

Pic 004: .....fuck! Fire! The electric in the studio was wired improperly by the contractors who did it 9 years ago, and their work finally showed like crap once someone started using the room (me!). They had venting fans hard wired past the circut breaker and the load combination of that and my equipment caused the fire. It was an easy fix, as that's why we keep fire extinguishers handy. :) I did go buy a larger extinguisher too, the new one is about knee high and full of Nitrogen. Yay!

Pic 034: Here's the last batch I made. From left to right, I like #2 and #4 the best. The lime green and red candy cane looking one has an insanely large bowl and carb for the bowl size, its meant to be a mini-steam roller.

Wanna see more pictures? There's 3 closeups to each of them above on my new glass site: www.kittysglass.com Every time I make a piece, its annealed in the kiln, and the next morning photographed, packaged, box sealed, and sits on a shelf waiting to be sold.

Thank for the video! It didnt show it in the pictures above, but there actually are points pulled so the blow hoses can be attached. I usually leave 12" or so of tubing that way my hands dont melt too. Those little hairs on your arms sure sizzle fast. =) Points are an easy one to THINK you got right, but they need to be symmetrical in the center where the point pulls from the tube, which is the hard part. I'm getting better with them over time, but I dont think they'll be perfect for another month or two......

Wont see me updating this thread for a while, harvest is tomorrow so I've got plenty of sleep to catch up on first. =)

Hey let me ask you something kitty if I wanted one of your pieces... BUT could I tell you what kind of colors I wanted and stuff like that now obviously i do know how hard it is to do this stuff as I have some glass knowledge but would that be possable? Of course charge accordingly but let me know what you think.

Checked out the website it looks good, just need to get some bongs/bubblers up and you are all set.

Thanks. In general I can make any somewhat solid colored pipe on order, that's not too difficult. If you wanted a very exact specific color that might be a little harder but most shades pretty easy. I've got one request pipe in the works, its in the Kiln now (deer colors with antlers), happy to do more.

Wow dude, you really have a nack for this glass blowing. Your studio looks really good too. I really want to try my hand at this glass blowing but i dont have the money for it. I looked some torches up and they are like 1000+. But maybe one day you will see some of my stuff on there.

Great thread man, lovin the progress and cant wait to see more.

Also, I've always thought itd be really cool to blow my own or have someone blow a custom colored piece for me so if you do take color requests I'll be right there in line for one :D

I'm still here. :) Its been DAMN hot. The room the studio is in seems to keep about 15 degrees hotter than outside air, and with the heat wave................ Just havent been there to make anything. I moved the studio into the garage for the time being a few days ago, so we'll be starting up again soon.
