Troubleshooting Seeds

Hey folks!

I'm in Bloom stage, week 6 - running 10 White Widows.

Setup = tent / 600W HPS / 3 side lights (t5h0) / complete Fox Fams nute cycle

This is my second time. My first attempt had a problem - the crop had a good amount of seed to it, but I was able to salvage a good amount of it by chopping right at the end of Bloom week 8 (instead of letting go the two extra weeks.)

Here's the thing - I am simply stumped as to what is causing the plants to hermie.

I had thought it was because I had done some aggressive pruning during the Bloom stage last time out, but this time, I didn't even pull dead leaves until they dropped on thier own accord.

But I'm clearly doing *something* wrong, as this is the 2nd time that the problem has occurred.

Theory - since I'm using clones made from feminized seeds, the clones carry the hermie trait and are likely to flip at the SLIGHTEST stress.

Theory - there was a very small power light on one of the fans in the tent- could such a slight amount of ambiant light produce this problem? It was just an LED that stayed on, a "power on" light indicator.

Theory - leftover pollen from last time, despite scrubbing down the tent?

Anyone else who has ever had the "harvests keep getting seeded, not quite sure why" problem, please share your findings!

Id be under the suspicion that its the feminized seeds. From what i hear they are notorious for producing hermies.

I've been reading a few books since I posted this on the topic. It looks like the only solution is for me to scrap my genes and do it the "hard" way, without fem'd seeds, and then sex them myself. Fem'd seeds seem to make poor mothers. Learning experiance!
