Here's my own input: Weed over $300 an oz. is fucking ridiculous. I have always charged a flat rate of $250 an oz., and I grow nothing but feminized top shelf. Even with this rate, I feel like I profit a little too much, but no one has complained about price and it helps me pay my way through grad school. There's no reason why prices should ever be that high, especially when people are going from private to commercial and operation costs decrease as you grow in bulk. I plan to open a chain of dispensaries with my already close business partners to give the market some healthy competition in this state. This sector of the economy DOES need to start raking in some kind of commercial cash flow in order to lobby for better and more liberal legislation in Michigan. But I feel that these dispensaries and underground networks of care-givers that overprice outsiders are only hindering the end goal of decriminalization (which is on California's Nov. ballet). Growers out west have had the right idea for awhile and we should be working together to follow in their foot steps for a more fair and open market.
Here, here!! I just recently found out that an oz can get you $300-$400, and I fell out of my chair. HOLY SHIT!! That's too much!!! I'm rooting for you thrash. I hope you and your partners can do what you set out to do. I tell you, iit's almost criminal to make patients pay through their fucking nose teeth that bad for medicine (and poorly cured medicine at that). Isn't that why we hate pharmaceutical companies?
