Tricks of the trade for your DWC...

So I've noticed that a few things that I do or use for my DWC aren't really common topics on this site. For the most part everything you need to know is somewhere on rollitup, but I'm sure there are a few things we can share that aren't getting the publicity they should be.

If you have any little tweaks or secrets feel free to add to the thread. :leaf:

I don't believe I have ever read anything on rollitup about lowering the amount of water in your reservoir during flowering.

If this is a new idea to you, it's a simple as this...

In hydroponics the reason for increased yields over soil is obviously constant nutrients and watering, but more importantly, it's the air to the roots that boosts the weight.

As a result, lowering your res exposes roots to more oxygen without them drying out. Don't believe me, try it. :leaf:

Another beneficial addition to DWC, and any hydro setup (this one has been getting more attention as of late) is the use of a carbohydrate additive.

Many times you will read the question of using molasses or sugar in a hydro system, but this is a no-no. Not just because of potential problems, but because there is something better.

The use of Advance Nutrient's Carbo Load, or Botanicaire's Sweet, are wonderful providers of sugars essential for growing that will trump plain sugar or mollasses.

Hope this has been helpful.
