Hey thanks a lot resinhead. I know tom's is a coorperate store and they might frown upon my misdemeanor marijuana charges. I was turned down at two places before I landed the job I've had for the past year. I was even told I was hired at both places until my background check came in. Two misdemeanor marijuana charges from 2011. I was shocked that they gave a shit. I mean cmon wtf. I passed the pre-employment piss test aswell...( thanks to quick-fix plus lol)

I pulled into traverse city last night. Guys this place is fucking awesome. Way more devoloped and populated than i imagined. I've also smelled weed almost everywhere ive been today
Just keep your nose clean. TNT is all over the place(traverse narcotics team). if you get caught up hanging with the wrong crowd or doing hard drugs they will get you. They do have undercovers

I got offered that job for Toms. They offered me 9.25 an hour . I was making 15 at a much smaller store.

I cooked at U&I lounge back in the day and they were pretty cool: the servers tip out the cooks pretty well!. Try the resort, they're always hiring and you can make some decent cash if you get a job with tips (the restaurant up top). At the very least some free golf. I had some girlfriends who killed it at apache grill. Any of the hotels are probably looking for a weekend maintenance person about this time of year. Shoot for tips though, that's where the money is in that town. I know a bartender at ruby tuesdays...she's smokin hot if that's any incentive. She's also cool, it's not like I'd vouch for a stranger, but that restaurant might be a place to look for a barback or kitchen job. In the summer, check the golf courses - usually don't ask don't tell on the MJ.

Substitute teaching paid pretty well in that area and they don't make you drop! the super in kingsley is/was a major donk, but all the other schools seemed pretty cool. I'm not sure what their requirements are now, but you didn't have to be a certified teacher when I lived there.

There are some decent places to work out in Sutton's Bay too. The Village Inn (lucky duck), 45th cafe....actually, I think every place out there is herb friendly or is at least don't ask don't tell.

Good advice on avoiding the TNT though, they're unscrupulous little bitches up there. When I lived up there they were primarily concerned with coke and ecstasy, but they weren't afraid to use MJ as a means of establishing a connection with their mark. I haven't been up since the MMMP, what's the dispensary scene like up there from what you've seen?

Hold on, hold on, you've never heard of disc golf!?!?!?!?!?! good god man, I'd drive up there just to play hickory. Lucky you.

I know tc has a few dispensaries but I don't use them. Last time I went they wanted to copy my drivers licence and mmp card before I could buy seeds. I told them forget it I can mail order them instead.

Yeah he said he's got alot of work. He said he will train me aswell. I got along with him well during the interview and he guarentees work. On the other hand i can also seeing it being very frustrating tedious work. I did it for a couple days at a family members house and i didnt have the technique down and it just frustrated the shit out of me.
They both pay the same but the detailing place has bonuses for each car you get done

Wow, I would thought drywall would pay more, if pay is the same, i go with auto detailing...expect won't business slow way down in the winter? Maybe they don't use much salt up there, if so, its easier to keep the car clean, even in the snow if its too cold to melt the snow isn't that bad. The snow blows off a freshly waxed car, least the top part of it.

Only U can decide which job to take, which boss seems cooler ???

Drywall sucks you will be a grunt and have to drive all over the place. Take the car detail job but tell the drywall guy the detail place hired you first and you don't want to burn any bridges. this way if things go south maybe you could still get the other job.
