Transfer DWC to soil

Has anyone eve successfully transferred plants from DWC to soil grow? Reason I ask is I have 4 plants in DWC they are 1 week into flowering and have taken over the grow tent my light can't go any higher and they are soo robust they have filled the entire tent. I'm think in of just planting them in soil in te net pot not trying o remove them from it because it be impossible. This probly sounds crazy but they are auto flowers and I didn't think they would ever get this big. Any advice or info helps

I have.

Get a spare bucket fill it with water dunk your DWC plant in there be gentle because some of your media will be stuck to it moist likely. rinse the roots off well and plant in the soil.

Done

It's that easy for reals?

You don't want to slow an auto down. It might take a week or so to get adjusted. So I wouldn't suggest it, but I don't grow autos.
I just went dwc to soil with an auto to see and the week or so it took to adjust I will never get back. I would not recommend it with the auto's but sometimes you got to do what's you got to do

Even with autoflowers?
Let it finish if its an auto flower, especially if it's flowering now. Transplanting at this point will effect your final yield considerably. Get a pump for nutrient changes if you have to

Hown is going to soil going to increase your overhead height?

Yeah I've decided to just keep my girls in the DwC even if it is a bit crowded in my tent fuck it I figure I'll harvest more from the tight tent then if I try and replant them and it goes wrong. Thanks for all the input. Next grow I'm either gonna just do 3 plants in my tent or scrap the grow tent and just grow in a room. I love the tent idea but they just aren't tall enough especially when using DWC buckets you automatically lose a foot or more since the net pot sits on top of bucket and the light can only go so high my tents 6 ft and it's my first Autoflower grow and I thought they wouldn't grow so tall but as always I was wrong

You're welcome bro, same process going from soil to DWC too.......I've done that as well......
Have done this for my cheese that is in dwc now....it was two weeks into a soil grow and I soaked the soil off the roots and plonked into dwc and it took to the new medium fine...

Threads about doing the opposite. Moving from DWC into soil but it's cool already been taking care of

Hydro roots need a bit of protection.

I've moved a lot of plants into soil from hydro and I've found a way that works rather well.

I use the powdered soil from the bottom of a bag of soil. I make sure every root is covered with a thin layer of that powdered soil. Then I carefully transplant into damp soil. I do not water until the damp soil dries out a bit and the plant looks like it's recovering.

When hydro roots are touching hydro roots, surrounded by soil, they tend to rot before they convert to soil roots. The dust helps with a thin barrier and I get much quicker turnaround times. :)
