topped an auto...

About a week ago I topped one of my autos, and it hasn't grown since. Any advice? It's about 8 inches tall. Should I just trash it and take a clone of my GTH go replace it?

Autos and photos need different light shedules so i would take a clone of the photo plant and stick to those.
Autos dont yield enough to justify a 20 hour light cycle imho

I agree. I have a 4x4 tent and wanted to have at least 6 plants. That's the ONLY reason I planted them (the autos were freebies)

That's strange, I've grown 2 auto's so far and topped them both with no problems.

Why would you cut vegetative growth off of a plant that has a genetically predetermined veg cycle? It's not like a photoperiod plant where you can veg for an additional week to make up for the growth you cut off, once it's gone from an auto it's gone, you're just hurting your final yield/outcome.

well like your name says you made a newb mistake. its gonna recover but take a long time. put it on a 20/4 cycle and make sure to have some kind of light that's in the blue range..it should start to grow in another week

My dog knocked over one of my auto's several yrs back and the top was broken so I removed it .There was another one that had been germinated and potted at the same time.. One was topped and one wasn't . They were mdanzig Super sour sixty's the difference in the final weight of dried bud was a few grams more for the non topped plant.....and these plants were grown outside !

Yeah guys as you all guess I am a noob. This is my very first grow and I topped my photos and went ahead on my autos, both of them. One seems to still be growing (bushy, not taller). Oh well now I know I never wanna grow autos again
