Top Soil

Yo... I've been using Fox Farm soil, but I noticed that on some strains it burns the plants when they 1st start out. Ok so I've bought some topsoil which has no added fertilizer and I want to enhance it a lil.

For example How can I improve drainage? Perlite

Also will topsoil turn hard and real dry(not retain water) if it gets.... well dry. LOL

Your not going to enhance fox farms with top soil. Its usually the other way around. Just let it grow and dont add any nutes for a few weeks and it should be fine.

You should have mixed it with perlite before planting

nah... lol I mean how do I enhance the top soil... I'm tryin to stop using the Fox Farm

you could mix it with peat moss with mycorise. Thats the best stuff to use besides hydro. I wouldnt use any top soil as its crap, but a mix of the two would be alright. You would still need to nute though
