Too long of a drying time?

I'm going to be away for about 10 days. My plants are starting to show some amber trichs (mostly milky) now, and I'm afraid if I leave it in the soil, it might go too far when I get back, and lose too much potency. That said, I'm thinking about chopping it to keep it at what seems optimal right now.
Can I just hang the entire plant without cutting branches for 10 days in a dark area, or will that dry it out and make it super harsh? Did I screw myself timing wise? Am I going to have to choose between smooth smoke just makes me tired, or do I have to go with super harsh weed that dried out? Will I be able to revive it with a long cure when I get back, or will it still be ok after hanging for 10 days as a whole plant?

Sure bud, hang er whole. Over dry it. When you get back and you want to trim it id run a humidifier in the trim room to het the humidity up. Then id probably mist the plants lightly before i start trimming them. Wait a while for the water to soak in, and then go to town. Theyll crumble less and youll lose less. Theres also these things called bovida packs which are humidity controllers and will keep it at a perfect 62% inside the bag or jar. I just toss one in a gallon bag and seal er up. Youll be fine.

I agree with the humidity packs, been using them for years, check for "BOVEDA" online, they're .99c each and you can choose the percentage of humidity you want, they look like thisimage.jpeg
Over drying, it is always harder to get your humidity back.
