Hi everyone, I've been thinking about what too do till my autos get done this year and was thinking about growing extra photo plants in 2 gal pots until my autos are don't in July and then filling the smart pots from the cut down autos with the photos growing in the 2 gal pots so, after all that long non sense my question is would it be too late too transplant by then or would it stunt them before I got them out of the 2 gal pots? Thanks any help is greatly appreciated!

PS. I live in pennsylvania

So what size smartpots are the autos growing in? If its more than 2 gallons just toss the Autos in the 2 gallons and the photos in the smartpots.

I doubt it would stunt them

kindow a confusing post, are you asking if the photos will be stunted from the time they spend in the two gallon pots being too long, or from transplanting them to outside?

I'm growing them in 5 gal smart pots. My plan is too start with 2 photos in 2 of the smart pots then the other 4 will have autos in them. Then have 2 more photos in 2 or 3 gal pots till the 4 original autos are done then taking the 2 other photos in the smaller pots and putting them in the smart pots and starting another crop of autos in whatever smart pots are left. So form at least 60 days the extra photos I wana transplant too the smart pots will be in 2 or 3 gal pots. I just don't wana stunt my photos by transplanting too late into their cycle or have them end up root bound in nthe smaller pots by the time I can transplant. Got me now? Lol prob not

No I got you. 60 days wouldn't be a prob in 2 or 3 gallons. Especially the 3 gallons.
Awesome, so if I time it out right I should have enough time too transplant them too the smart pots...and sorry for the confusing non sense trying too explain lol

. You're looking at about 90 days on the autos if you want them to be totally finished. To be totally honest though I'd just toss the photos in smartpots so they'll have a dense monster root structure and whatnot. Fill up those smartpots with a long veg. Tossing 2 of the autos in 3 gallon normal pots isn't going to make much of a difference. When you put the weight factor in your photos are going to blow them out of the water. Just my 2 cents anyways.

So you think I should put more time into photo plants instead of autos? Cause if so im going too get less autos n more photos

Well your photo plants are going to be your yielders. Youll pull 1.5 maybe 2 zips from an auto after everything is dried, trimmed and jarred. People state they've pulled 2 and a little more but I'm sure that with them totally dialed in and a perfect environment. I say the Autos will be fine in the 2 and 3 gallon normal pots. They're only going to be growing for 3 months anyways. So yeah fill your big pots with photos and you'll be smiling come fall. Your auto smoke will hold you over until then. So what corner of the world are you in? Your start date/method and what strains are you running? Soil and nutes?

I'm in pennsylvania, USA and I'm growing 3x dutch passion Frisian dews and then 3x of their auto version of the Frisian dews, I'm trying too find another strain too do 3 of either auto or photo but can't find d any that are proven outdoors that aren't expensive, I'm growing in 5 gallon smart pots filled with local Amish soil and technaflora nutrients then using fresh spring water for them too, I'm also getting some freebies from Herbie's I'm gunna try they are world of seeds northern lights x big bud and 2 heavey weight dream machine

If you"re starting them indoors then run your lights at 15/9 for your Photo's or you'll run the risk of premature flowering

There going straight from germination into the smart pots n directly outside. No indoor time what so ever
