Maaannn, I went through so much to get this plant to where it is!!! I started out with a sterilite 30 gallon tub, figured that it wasn't big enough for what I was trying to do,saw this tent for thirty nine bucks and jumped on it... I wanted something to grow two or three plants in with no problem... I think I'll stick with two though...I've got two of those sterilite tubs that I might use for something else..

How many plants in there?that tha nice looking set up though
Thanks man. There were 3 afghani#1 reg seeds. 1 went hermie and (I got rid of it week 4)20170507_125332-1.jpg , and it pollinated the other 2 females. I grew em ol natural, and they got up to over 40" 20170506_130238-1-1.jpg during the stretch. I switched to led by then. I got 2 good fem phenos and I grew out 2 other, 1 male very beautiful but I tossed it and another herm that got me 3oz dry without the 300 plus seeds pulled week 6. I got lucky as I collected the seeds from the 2 fems (about 80 total) , and now grow those. Done 1 harvest off the offspring. 4 fems, just ran 8 of em 12 12 from seed, all female. I don't run the reg seeds anymore. But keep em if I ever need to collect pollen. Gooood shyt.

CFL's run with almost no heat given off and can be set as close as 1 to 2 inches from the foliage. In fact, any higher than that and you're not getting the most from CFL's. Just don't spritz your plant leaves as the drops of water on the leaves may act as little magnifying glasses and burn the leaves.
Cfl can run hot. What makes you think they don't put off heat? Hell 8 bulbs is a couple hundred watts and that causes heat.

People also say t5 aren't hot and I fried my plants the first time I used it. I read repeatedly that a few inches was fine. I found 8-10 inches to be better.

If the plants are showing signs of stress then they need backed up.

One or two bulbs and a couple inches is fine. Not with 8.

Hahahaha. Humbled. Smoke on brotha!
When I was little kid to late Teen in the 90s Jordan and the bulls were the ones i looked up to.
I read every fkn day lol and just keep learning and applying, getting hands on, making mistakes, being patient, stepping outside the box, and just being a critical thinker. I self taught. Never grown anything else but my brain for facts.
Blueberry Twist night shot week 7 from flip. Still mostly green all over and in healthy conditions. IMG_20180403_203927.jpg

Is this too close???

close is good also with temp gauge placed close too

scrape that pot its clay based may well suck water leaving soil toxic ..maybe

above all remove 'saucer' easiest way to get root rot ..imo

ensure cfl's are 50/50 warm and cool white for correct growth

good luck

So once the water runs through I should remove the"saucer"? check.
The pot is plastic...should I get a bigger one?its not even a whole gallon...lights are 50/50... have a thermometer as well... anything else that I should know? not saying that in a smart ass way, just wondering if there is anything more... Thanks dude.

Depends on how dry it is where you are. In the winter I run gas heat and it stays so dry I let water stand in the pans. It similar to hempy.

The main reason not to do it is if you are using bottled nutes. It will cause a salt buildup. If running water only organic soil it won't hurt.

If your humidity is higher and it takes longer for the soil to dry then don't let them sit in water.

I grew with the mix of spectrum. When I was using t5 I ran several spectrum and uv. Put a reptile cfl at the beginning 9f flower.

Yes a bigger pot leads to bigger roots and that we know leads to bigger buds ...lol
