Today's 1st Smoke of the Day

This thread is for the wake and bakers. What are you firing up this morning to get you ready for the day...to get your mind and body where you want to be?

First thing in the early morning is a large coffee and a hike in the outback w/ the big dog. A good amount of the time I'm considering what's going to be the first buds to get rolled and toked. A big selection helps, and the tasks of the day ahead have to be considered, so it's rarely the same strain two mornings n a row.

I also find that the 1st days hits are the best for assessing a newly chopped plant.

Today begins with a jay of Melon Gum [ DR Underground]. It's got about a 2 month cure, has a nice fragrance when breaking apart the buds...sort of champaigne-like. Smokes smooth and very tasty, but the high has become much more indica-like since the last time I sampled it.

So.....what are you smoking this morning, and how do you like it? Feel free to check in daily and report.

I've got some "Hulk" right now from the dispensary. It's alight for dispensary weed, a really clean indica great for lifting heavy during this morning workout. Takes all pressure off my back.

Lately all I've had in the morning is the same phenotype of Black Widow. Very sativa dominant. Gets the day going right, no burn out, lots of legs.

Sometimes I'll go with something more incapacitating like my Sugar Punch or Sweet Skunk. The Skunk is maybe slightly clearer but more paranoia inducing. The SP is pretty funky. You don't get a lot done on the SP. Silverfields has been an option too. It's somewhere in the middle between SP and Sweet Skunk. Strong smoke, some of the phenos are more functional than others though.

Today it was Black Widow.

Great comment. I have been a litlle afraid of BW because of the parananoia. i am gonna do Sugarpunch soon. Maybe I don't need to get much done:dunce::peace:

Most of my BW were pretty hybridish or indica leaning. Not too much paranoia worry on my end, but I don't suffer from it generally anyway.

Today, I'm doing a first sample of World of Se-eds Mazar Kush that was among the chop last week. Didn't really want to get wasted right away, but 3 of the 4 are likely night smoke; the 4th is another c-99 that will be tomorrow's AM starter. I've hit this 4 times in the past hour, and haven't gotten midway into the joint. It's a mild lemon taste in a heavy but smooth smoke. Very difficult to concentrate on finishing sentences, and this post.

How is your experience with WOS? I loved my afghan kush special. my first purchase included some beans from them and I had terrible germ rates and die offs with the land races.

This was a freebie. I'd run another freebie of theirs a couple of years ago in an all fem freebie grow - Afghan/Yumbolt, I think - and it also was vigorous and trouble free. I'd run another of their non-auto 8-9 week strains in a minute.

Love my sativa dom phenotype. Takes around 12 weeks to finish, but yields a lot of really good smoke.

Most weren't like this, most were more hybrid or indica. Those were good too, people like em, but not my bag. I don't really think I did the best selection from my pack either way due to how I grew em out and the number of plants etc. Could have done better, think I killed a few really good plants that simply didn't get a good enough chance. My bad.

The list of genetics to buy is pretty short these days, but I want to pick up a few more packs of Black Widow.

Thanks OGEvil, I know some people don't like long flowing times, but I personally don't mind as I run a perpetual. Plus the old adage of "good things come to those who wait". Now is there more indica dominant expressions? I love a good balance of pain reduction yet having the "go" sativa feeling in a good hybrid. That would be a great day/morning smoke. ETA most of my garden is 10 weeks, with only a couple in the past being sooner. My Goji is an 11 weeker but totally worth it.
