to much power? am i over doing it

What do u guys think of 400 Watt mh for veg and 400 hps for flower running at the same time is that to much for my plants

alot of ppl do it maybe not 400w the day they break dirt but a couple of weeks in should be fine...

One is for flowering and one is for vegging, you will need different light proof areas for the grow op or use them one at a time. I dont see the advantage in using both at the same time in the same area.

Just buy a 1000w lamp and get it over with.

that sounds fine just keep the lights high and slowly move them down as they grow for a few weeks into vegging then they should be fine at one height after that. only thing i would worry about is the heat output but that can be taken care of easily . i say go for it good luck dude.

I also plan on using a 400 MH conversion bulb and a 400 hps during veg. Of course ill switch the MH to another HPS during flowering. Also isnt two 400 watt or say 600 watt lights more efficient than one 1000 watt?
