Tips for soiless

Hi all, I've done many runs with FFOF and wanted to try a soilless mix and picked up Basement mix by Royal gold. https://www.rollitup.org/t/mega-crop-scorg-grow.950363/#post-13815916

I know I need to let my PH range between 5.8 and 6.5 but my rez doesn't swing more than a point or two. Using Megacrop nute puts my rez at 5.8 but I'm noticing a calmag deficiency starting. I'm going to raise the PH to 6.3 as per Royal Golds recommendation.

Watering, how often ? Timer is set to water at lights on with some runoff. Should I be watering less more often ? If so when? lights off and mid way ? Once a day my moisture meter reads on the lower side of moist, bottoms a little more.

uh oh. i won the med size bag from them but haven't gotten it yet. i was planning on switching from GH maxibloom which i haven't had any deficiencies with. maybe i'll hold off a bit. how long have you been using the megacrop??

Just started after transplant, I think the deficiency is due to PH early on "used Primordial solutions" and kept the PH at 5.8. I too have been using Maxibloom. Megacrop doesn't leave as much residue in my rez and on pumps like Maxi does. For far I like the way it mixes although I question the PPM's I'm getting. Looking forward to see how well the plants take to it in the next few days.

i always thought you treat soilless like hydro 5.5 to 6.5
I have read that you should PH the rez at 5.5-6.5 but wasn't sure if the soilless mix should be that also. I should have listened to myself and at least rinse the mix before planting in it.

When I grow in soiless I run PH at (6.2-6.3-6.4 in vegging) (5.7-5.8-6.0 in flower.)

Start with good water first and make sure the water you use won't lock out other nutes. CAL/MAG. ect.

When you are on your 2ed and 3rd week of flowering, there's a big chance you'll need extra magniesm and calcium. You'll know when you see yellow and or green with brown spots on the plants leafs from the top of the plant down or an area.

If you wait too long to supplement the plant during these times, you'll lose allot of leaf mass and lose yield later on.

...Considering at this point that there are 5 to 6 weeks to flower ahead yet. This would severely reduce yields and your time.
