Sunni, I'm really sorry to hear that and very pleased you don't do it anymore.
How many years was it before you started injecting? Or were you just chasing it?
How many mls of methadone did they put you on? Does it work?
How did you afford such an expensive habit at such a young age? Plus you studied so you probably didn't go away for it. This woman has 2 kids so god knows how she finds the time?!
Personally I think she's being doing it longer than 18 mths if she is injecting. What do you think?

i cant remember exactly how i paid i had a good job but i know i just always found a way I am sure i went hungry many of nights. theres always trades to be made with drugs, always ways to get free drugs , and always ways to get drugs without having to use your body or other disgusting means
although im sure it all depends on where you are, who you are, ect.
I think that everyones addictions are different, that anyone no matter what age, social status, economic worth, race, religion can become addicts, i also believe firmly that everyone can change if they get help that's best for them.
There is a huge social stigma that anyone who does drugs cannot live a "REAL" life that's completely untrue while the majority of what WE HEAR is that they are completely wasted and fucked up , there are LARGE percentage of people who are functional addicts , i was a functional addict, i worked 40 hours a week and was a huge drug addict.
OPs girlfriend is a functional addict, a functional addict is someone who can take care of themselves, others, work,use their money wisely and have a "real" life without anyone ever knowing they are addicts, which makes functional addicts one of the most high risk people for never getting help because they can function normally they believe their not really addicts. Most functional addicts never get help because they can live daily normal lives. I bet you , you know people who are functional addicts, but you dont know because they live normal lives or what appears to be normal!

You've made some excellent points here. She has the kids and is apparently concealing it and still functioning.
However, where is/ is there a fine line between still functioning and becoming totally dysfunctional?
Injecting is a serious matter and if her gear isn't clean then soon her veins will collapse. What then? Smoking won't be strong enough for her.
Not many people can support a serious habit and I've yet to see a successful addict (heroin I mean).
There are free clinics in america and in canada that gives free needles out to users, not sure if you guys have them where you are.
you walk in get free needles walk out no questions asks no id given chances are she uses one of those.

Yes both here and in the UK. There's other problems attached though.
It's a lucrative business so the gear is cut up a lot. This leads to dangerous impurities which damage the veins. The gear is expensive so people have to take methadone too, which is then controlled a lot due to the street value.

Just so y'all know, she had a bad car wreck and fucked her back up real bad. She was on pain killers, got addicted. Doctor stopped the script she found herion. None of us are broke people, so a $60 a day habit is not a problem. It's a problem, yes. But the money isn't the problem.
You really need to think this through. She is the mother of your children and needs your help. It's not like she picked up the heroin because she thought it would be fun to get addicted.
I've been addicted to pain killers and it's the hardest addiction to break, especially when your in pain non stop and all it takes is a pill to make that go away. Help her don't ditch her.

@lahadaextranjera see what i mean he never gave us an inch of the full story to begin with. she wasnt a heroin addict, she was someone who got addicted to pain meds and chose to go to heroin, i bet you 50$ she doesnt even do actual heroin and is buying oxy cottons have the fucking time.
