Thrips! Help!

I'm growing outdoors in smart pots. I'm use to fighting off spider mites, but this is the first attack I've had with thrips! Those little bastards are all in my new flowers. I sprayed last night with SM-90 before the sun went down but this morning the party continues on my baby girls.

This morning I included 2ml of SM-90 per gallon in my feeding. I'm hoping that helps as well. I've read that Neem works, but is not recommended during the flowering stage. So I plan on switching between SM-90, Azamax and possibly buying another insecticidal soap so I can switch it up and fight them.

Has anyone had experience fighting thrips? What has worked for you?

I used spinosad and that killed em all off, but it wasn't during flower either.... I would rather smoke bugs than pesticides :joint:

 Maybe someone else has a viable suggestion?
LOL well that's true! I mean, I guess they will all jump ship at harvest? I know the bugs will stunt my plant's growth but I guess as long as they don't kill the plant I'll be okay? Lordy.... I'm only 2 weeks into flower!

You can also spot them out and rid them by hand although
the little buggers move quick it can be done and the best
of luck with your grow.
I hope it turns out better then expected! :-D

Yeah I've gotten so good at crushing spider mites with my fingers I thought I could grab some thrips but ha ha ha! They are thin and wiggly! Not going to happen.

Strange. I've had thrips many grows but they never got in my flowers.
Fucking weird. :-?
Yea I had them a cpl years back and they infested my tomato and bell pepper plants...the fruit died at one end before it would get fully mature. Thrips are very adaptable

Id douse it with spinosad 2 days in a row. You dont have many trichs yet, so imho its ok to spray. You might burn that gorgeous flower but she'll come back. I think its worth it, thrips will suck your buds dry

Well so far so good! I don't see any thrips!!!! And my bud is not burnt! I'll reapply in a few days as well as use a drench- after that the girls are on their own!

Has anyone tried using pepper spray against the thrips? My friend has been fighting a thrips infestation and I'm going to make some pepper spray to see how it works.
