Can you really get fully feminized seeds? If you put enough stress on that feminized plant shouldn't it go male or atleast hermie. I heard that you need the pollen from a female hermie and put it on a 100% female to get feminized seeds right? Maybe feminized seeds are a myth to get seedbanks more money

There does not seem to be a way to put a 100% gaurantee that a seed is feminized. I never buy seeds but I seem to recall from browsing that they usually say something like '99%' or something to that effect.

I noticed the single pollen sac popping up on some rainwreck I have going right now. Would be nice to get some seeds but haven't found any so far...

It is strange indeed to see an old girlfriend that you know like the back of your hand go through a sex change. I'll admit that things were awkward between us at first.
I just had to take that out of context for a laugh.

Otherwise thank you for the post, very informative.

Hahahaha, that made this stoner laugh and hop around like a one legged man at an ass kicking contest! Very witty friend!

All the info is out there to read.
The answer to your question is in fact "Yes".
If your female plant hermies naturally, and pollinates herself or any other female, they will in fact produce technically feminized seeds. HOWEVER... These feminized seeds will carry that hermaphrodite trait in their genetics, which would make the sex unstable.
Using silver on a strong plant to prohibit the production of ethylene causing the female to exhibit male traits, is the best way to produce feminized seeds. Using this pollen to pollinate another strong female plant will produce feminized seeds without the need to use plants prone to hermaphroditism. Thus, the resulting seeds and plants will be no more prone to hermying than either of their parent plant would have naturally been.
Hope that makes sense.

Yes a hemaphrodite makes only female seeds, but female seeds more likely to hermie themselves...makes sense...

I've been growing for about 4-5yrs. I've only seen the little yellow bananas on 3 or 4 of my girls near the end of flowering. Each time I only got a few seeds from that plant (the buds were just as good tasting and potency as the plants that did not sprout the yellow flowers). Those seeds, all of them germinated and were females with no hermies. A few of them did do the yellow banana thing at the end of flowering but no adverse effects at all.:eyesmoke:

I know this is an old thread, but maybe this info may help. This is what I have experienced, but I guess anything is possible.
