So guys, I'm past the halfway point of my first grow in dwc I'm currently using general hydroponics flora series. Loving it!
But my inner self is asking.. could other nutrients be better?
I have the 3 part advanced nutrients for the next grow. What are your guys opinions for nutrients and why :D?

Im going to try Mega Crop when I start my hydro grow in two or three weeks. Its super simple - just one nute for veg and flower. The reports Ive read so far are mostly rave reviews.

The Fox Farm nutes I have been using has been working fine, but I started using Mega Crop last week on my soil grow, and so far, my babies like it better. It mixes up super fast with no sediment or junk settling to the bottom.

Its a dry, powdered nute, and it has a bit of a smell when you open the package, but so far, that is the only down side.

They are giving free samples - just pay shipping.

3 part GH is no better or worse than 3 part AN. they all source their raw salts from the same companies.

I need to learn more about those and how they work. I know silica is a sugar. But know nothing more than that .
. potassium silicate is the usual form. it helps cell division and can use as pH up too and a bit of a K boost.

sulfur really brings out smells. epsom salts is magnesium sulfate so you get extra Mg and Sulfur.

most nutes have no silica. some have sulfur.

two additives i'd recommend: silica and sulfur

most additvies are snake oil IMO.
Well I kinda like hydroguard, to bad I can’t buy it anymore here :(. I use sulphuric acid for ph down ;). I ran silica last run and I didn’t see a huge difference but it was the first time running it.

i've done with and without with Si. not sure if there is much of a differnce but a bottle of GH Si is pretty cheap at 0.5mL/liter. can't hurt. and it works as pH up.

i need to rent a water truck and drive up your way. how much could we get for a bootleg liter of hydroguard? lol
Well I checked last night on eBay and it was $80 a litre lol. I was buying it for $50 a gallon two years ago :(. There really is nothing up here unless you go agro which I’m looking into. I may have to dance with the devil, Monsanto sells it up here, quick roots, doing more research. Then there is this1E5C2F49-B4D6-4BBA-934F-8859436F5B2E.png

Well if you park in Clayton NY I could meet you when the ice breaks up lol. You’ll have to throw it on the boat, I’m not supposed to be there :(. Last time I took the girlfriends kids on the river I told them they get two pics of Boldt Castle (customs check in) as we drive by then we boots and saddles out of there lol.

Well unless I find a cheaper source here in Canada this could be kind of expensive. I’m figuring the “free” 250 grams will last about two res changes unless I’m not getting the mix right, with exchange it’s about $13 :(.
