Ya as of today Canada no longer has a medical Marijuana program(can't get cards)but If you find a doc that will write you a script then you can still get MM. My card is useless now but I am protected by a court injunction so I can continue to grow.

It's unfortunate that there is a charge. I go see my doc today...I'm going to get another prescription for morphine...it won't cost me a thing. These docs will be disciplined, rightly or wrongly. I'm going to ask my doc about what they think of it.

I know of others that there card have since expired and are now paying upwards of 250.00 just to get a doc to write a script. In Sask We have one compassionate doc but to see him is impossible. Most people have to apply to a BC doc(and most charge)just to get scripts now.

Some doctors will end up linked up with some lp's thru ease of use and because of affiliation

Because it's almost like they are buying their customers.
Ok, that's one way to look at it. Another is they are covering the cost for patients who really can't afford the medical document.
With the lack of family doctors, doctors who are reluctant, provincial colleges that are not cooperative, I think "buying" medical documents will be a reality for some patients. I was seeing the LPs covering that initial cost as a positive. I do appreciate your views whatfg.

So they can't afford the $150-500 fee docs charge for a "medical document" but they can afford the $5-13 a gram LP prices? Yeah ok...I've said it before, the MMPR isn't for anybody but the rich.

A new patient does not fall under the MMAR injunction. Grow your own or have someone else grow yours is the best option. New patients don't have that choice ( that's wrong no doubt! ).
So what choices do they have?
Grow your own...cheap say $ .50-1/g, illegal
Buy from the BM... say $7g, good choice, somewhat convenient, illegal.
Buy from a CC...basically same as from the BM
Buy from an LP...same basic price, but legal.
So it is the same cost basically for every new patient that doesn't want to grow illegally.
What is wrong with saving a new patient some money when they decide to go the legal LP route?

I don't agree with your claim that the MMPR is only for the rich.
You are basically saying that anyone who buys pot is rich. That's absurd.

Um no, anybody that buys pot isn't rich. In fact cannabis has been one of the most affordable drugs for recreational users for years. That's the problem though, recreational users use much less than anybody using for medical/therapeutic reasons. New patients have no options, which is exactly what HC wants, they want to force people to be slaves to their corporate buddies. The MMPR is most certainly only for the rich, at least so far until there is some actual compassionate LPs that will offer affordable medicine. LPs are offering prices the same as black market/clubs, with none of the convenience and the added shipping/tax. Ask any MMAR patient that has transferred to the MMPR how affordable it is, or if they are still using their full prescription, I bet the answers are overwhelmingly negative. Also what is the start up cost for an LP? The whole system is designed to keep the small guys out, whether they are wannabe LPs or patients. Nobody has thousands of dollars to spend on medicine every month but the rich! So unless you have a 1 gram a day script or make $100,000+ a year the MMPR isn't for you right now.

i find the cc's to have better quality than many/most bmers. just my two cents, minus 95% purchase power due to inflation

None of the LP prices i have seen are more expensive than the black market, at least not in my area. the most expensive price i have seen was 12$/g but that was for an OG or some higher end strain from tilray. its like 100$ for a 1/4 of one of those types of strains around here. The only shitty thing is people who have a 28 g a day license are going to find it hard to afford it. Also the people who have spent years finding the right strain and put so much money into their grows now have to get rid of it all.
