This is how I do it.

Point ? Doesn't change that quote in any way..
I'm not trying to prove you wrong. lol.

If I water once a day with the pro-mix. make up a solution of that worm shit and alternate water one day, tea the next.
Then I don't over nute, like you said in the quote that I agreed with.

Well give it a try, if it works it works and if it doesn't you'll better understand my comment.
Think about running a few test plants all the way through before you make changes to the entire grow.

I am pretty sure I understand the comment. The nutrients that I buy have directions for general use, Our job is to adjust that ratio to suit whatever medium we use. Some need all that shit, and many already have that shit in it already so when I re-add it my plants are like 'what the fuck dude, I gotta drive later. Back the fuck off and let me grow.'
If that's what you meant, then I think it's good advice.

It's not so much about the medium as it is the different products being combined.
Pro mix is like a zero medium so it offers next to nothing. (which is why I use it)

Just because something has a 5 for N it doesn't mean it will make for a good replacement for another product with the same number or even higher numbers, used by itself or once mixed with other nutes/chemicals.

Grow big is a 6-4-4
Alaskan is a 5-1-1

I can spill an extra tsp of grow big in my jug and not much will come of it, but if I use the suggested dosage or even 1/2 of the suggested dosage of Alaskan I will fry the shit out on my plants in a day or two.

General hydro ph up and down do not work as well with Fox farm nutes as some other product lines.
Mainly because GHP up is a 3 part mixture where some other products are 1.
It used to take a tsp or better to raise my ph using GHP where the up I now use only takes a few drops. (less chemicals)

pura vida is organic so it does not kill the microbes. Salt kills the microbes.
I'm pretty sure you're correct. If you use a chemical fertilizer it's not going to necessarily be detrimental to your grow, but it's kind of defeating the purpose of having the microbes to begin with. An organic tea (as an example) will create a symbiotic relationship with the microbes, and help with the uptake of nutrients. Introducing a chemical will kill the microbes, eliminating any benefit they would have provided.

Your plants eat the poop from the microbes not the fertilizer its self. If you feed them salt then it kills the mycorrhiza fungi in the bx promix. foxfarm has a shit load of salt in it. leave a little sit out for a day when it dries it will be crystallized. Sucks when you waste so much money on soil then kill all the stuff in it thats good.
