This is one time of the year I won't smoke any weed. I step into the voting booth stone cold sobor. It is one time of the year one should put serious thought to what you are doing.

You don't like The Terminator?
I thought He's been doing well as a Governor over the last year or so.
Why don't you like him?

Because he has turned out not to be a principled man. I was hoping that he would win, but only by ONE tiny vote, hoping that he would get the message. The same message that was handed to the entire Republican Party.

You know, I would like to see a viable third or even fourth party system instituted here, sort of like the UK. What I really like about the UK is the Prime ministers questions and answers event! I've watched Blair do this and man is that guy sharp. He has an answer for every question immeadiately. Could you Imagine Bush going through that? They would laugh him out of the house. I believe Blair or whomever is PM has to go through that once a week! I'd like to see a grilling of the president on a weekly basis. Where he would have to stand up before the house and answer all questions thrown at him for an hour session without any pre-screening, this goes for all candidates for president. I'll bet you'd see we'd get a more intelligent breed for president if they knew what they were in for, at least they'd have to justify their position!

The Terminator didn't get the same treatment as other republicans precisely because he broke away from the right and moved closer to the center.
I don't know about you guys in Kalifornia, but to me it seems like that was a wise thing to do.

I'm with you Med, our politicians (especially the Pres.) should be grilled on a weekly basis, I'm tired of these ignorant simple minded politicians, they do our country a disservice. And we definitely need more parties, neither the Dems or Reps represent us well. Most of us on this site in fact, don't fit neatly into either camp.
