Lol be my guinea pig!!! Just joking... So, you going to put some fluoro lighting in there too? I reckon that HPS/MH could go a bit closer...

Nah.. no fluoros for me. MH all the way. I couldnt take the extra heat, it gets up to 85-90*F at the end of the night. Also why the mh can't get any closer, it's at 18 inches away right now.

Oh true. Coolies. Yeah I know how hot lights get lol... Is your light a MH/HPS? Do you use the HPS bulb for flowering? Or do you mean you use MH the whole grow?

Yeah my light system is a HIDS with mh/hps switch. But I only run mh right now.. simply because I can't afford the hortilux I want. Plus mh, while not producing as much, does make for higher quality nugs (higher THCs and CBDs.)

Wow. I didn't know that about MH bulbs... Wish I could use MH in the unit I own. I would only use it for veg though I think...

Btw the fluoro's don't get very hot at all. I have absolutely no airflow in my clone cupboard and at night I close the door as I have them on 24/7.

That's what most people do. They make HPS bulbs that have similar spectrums as MH.. for example the Hortilux. That's the way to go :blsmoke:

I use Phillips Son-T-Agro. Everyone I know says they are the best. Even the guy at the hydro shop tells me to go Son-T-Agro over more expensive ones he has. Says they are the best. Who makes hortilux?

Loved the shout-out in the video. HPS is way better for flower xD everyone does it (peer pressure). Can you link me to these MH bulbs you speak of? How do you combat slime issues with temps getting so high?

Aye my temps are always below 73 degrees (when monitored!). Frozen water bottles work very well, you must have to change them ALOT with such high "tent"/closet temps tho, no?
