in my little central Alberta town they are not doing any thing for Canada day instead they will have a parade on July 4th this leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. not that I have any thing against the States but this is just wrong I should mention that our mayors wife is from Tennessee. need things to change so I can move.

Hmm I wonder who may have swayed that decision? I'd straight up show up and picket that shit, fucken clowns.

Bah...Alberta has been an American entry point for the last couple decades, at least. Have you ever noticed the ratio of Montana to Alberta plates at the Stampede each year?
Remember the old cruise missile tests in the 80s? Guess which province was picked for test flights...
Telus? US Tel? Alberta!
If one took a mirror image of Alberta along the 49th parallel, I bet the population would map well with the comparative psyches of Americans (i.e. Southern Albertans are like Montana and the Northern parts are more like Texas. Red Deer is a Biker town).

It's probably an old plot of Nixon's to infiltrate and take over.

Not to come off as completely agreeing with the decision but in all fairness Canada Day is on a Wednesday this year and July 4th Saturday *shrug*. Just as long as it's not an every year thing I'm ok with it.

Fact of the matter is..cannada will never have a beach worth visiting.
Youll never have a car worth driving.
And you'll never have outdoor sativas worth smoking.

The u.s is great, if only for location.
